Found Parish's comments a bit odd.

While it's totally fair him saying something along the lines of Pardews way isnt working, we need to go in another direction... being specific when mentioning the styles of football is at odds with the oft-trumped line of "Sam's football isn't as bad as it's made out to be" and also the idea that you cant survive in the Prem with a manager who aims to play 'entertaining' football.

Both of which arent really true.

Not surprised to see Pardew get the boot, Palace have been poor this season especially when you consider the talent they have in the squad, Cabaye, Townsend, Benteke etc. As said previous he always seems to go through a boom and bust with any club he manages, and the bust is usually pretty bad. With Allardyce out of work and itching to get back I think it was inevitable some chairmen fighting to survive would get twitchy, got to be Allardyce surely.

My only worry for Palace would be how motivated Allardyce is now that he had his dream job and knows he will never get anywhere near it ever again

It will also be interesting to see if Allardyce is able to make many transfer market moves now every single dealing he'll have is going to have a mass of eyes on it. Clearly in the past he's been able to tempt players with means of course now being investigated...........without that method he may not find it as easy as previously.

Pardew to Palace is probably Newcastle's best piece of business for years before Rafa turned up.

Yup. Left Newcastle 12th in the premier league. Newcastle now in the championship. Although they're apparently Barcelona now they've been beating some championship teams and forgotten Rafa couldn't save them last season.

We got £3.5mil for someone who lost 21 games in a year, conceding 3 or more in 14 of them (shout to to Haillay7), and has just been sacked after losing 22 in a year with a team who finished in the top half of the league a little over a year ago, after spending ~£70mil on players. Cracking business, but I agree that wasn't our best business. Our best piece of business for years was signing Hatem Ben Arfa, who was sacked under Pardew's management for not being a right back and is now playing CL football for PSG.

Sir Samuel Allardyce will have them top half again by the end of next season. Over committed know-nothings will still pretend Pardew is a good manager, and Crystal Palace fans will be evil, delusional eejits who forced England's future manager out.

G.B will still be gloating about this magnificent victory, and his unmatched knowledge and prediction skills.
