Any pilot games with fans in should be at two grounds only for lge 2
Bolton and Bradford.....Quite simply the best stadia
Our Hotel is to be used as a Nightingale Court all summer and even at 30% capacity can accomodate our 8k
season ticket holders.

Probably just be the last weeks of the Premier league season and the play-offs I reckon.

I read that crowds are most likely to be permitted at grounds that had fans in earlier in the season - the right certificates and procedures are in place already. Not getting my hopes up, but it would be nice to witness our last ever EFL home game against Southend.

Any pilot games should be, essentially, dead rubber games. Clubs going for promotion or avoiding relegation would have an unfair advantage over those rivals with no crowds allowed.

Nah not at all, if anything it’s a disadvantage having crowds back when you’ve not had them all season as it changes the environment for the players. We were unbeaten at home until we played in front of fans earlier this season. Then we lost our first two in front of fans.

If we don’t have fans in for our last few games I’d be pleased!

Did clubs such as Cambridge,Cheltenham,FGR....Carlisle not have that in the early part of the season??

Sure. But that wasn’t at the business end of the season.

I’ve wanted to see fans in grounds but unless everybody has the chance, then nobody should. Looking back at the two games we played with fans, both away at Southend & Colchester, we lost both games and those results could’ve been absolutely vital. I’m not saying it would’ve made a huge difference but the Colchester game in particular was probably the best we’ve played whilst losing a game this season, who knows what would’ve happened without fans there.

Rovers lost both home games with fans in, so don’t think it would benefit us. However it’s about the fairness and integrity of the competition at the business end of the season. If all teams aren’t allowed at least one game before fans, then as Indian Dan suggests, there should be none in the games affecting promotion/relegation in the remaining 46 games.

We had a couple of pilot games earlier this season, I didn’t go as I don’t have a pilots licence but they went ok apparently.
Nigel Blackwell from Half Man Half Biscuit would approve of this message.

I don't think fairness, logic and integrity is ever in the forefront of the minds of those that make the rules in football. Look at the use of VAR in the FA Cup for example, can be used by Premier League clubs if they are at home, but the smaller clubs can't use it which is pretty ridiculous if you are partially using something. It should really be all or none and similarly I think the season should probably be ended without fans to make it an even playing field.

Why would your 8k season ticket holders want to stay at the hotel at the ground? What's wrong with where they live?

26,000 bed hotel. Impressive or bullshit. You decide. Who says there aren't any original fiction writers anymore.

Ha. My question was more to attempt to clarify the actual relevance of the statement Masi made about the hotel and the Bolton season ticket holders in this thread about pilot games. But your question is no less valid!

26000 bed? Didn’t look that big when I went? Sure it’s not 260 bed?! If it was 26000 bed it would be about the size of the Burj Khalifa!

Even if every room at Bolton’s answer to the MGM Grand was a family room you’d still be talking about 6500 rooms.

That’s the equivalent of nearly 10% of Premier Inns total rooms across the whole of the UK. Impressive.

If it is ok to be used as a overspill court......its good enough to be used for what it was built for

We were well involved in this early season. Think our fans have probably seen more live football than anyone else in the division.

Not sure there'll be so much clamour to get to Brunton Park if we were to take part in something again, but we're likely to want to be involved, just from the financial aspect.

Could it be used as an overspill court if Wimbledon had a particularly heavy 2nd week due to excessive rain delays.

What do you mean by overspill court? Sorry I am not trying to be awkward but I'm really trying to understand what point you are trying to make re the hotel and the pilot games. I'm just not seeing the link at all.

Its where they put clumsy bucket carriers on trial. You cannot be wasting water by putting too much in them. Even worse if its a bucket of shite. Like most of his posts are.
