Some dodgy defensive moments aside, Blackpool look a really impressive side with some real stand out performers. Mitchell has been on it tonight and Yates and Simms look very lively. Oxford played quite well but defensively poor.

Having endured listening to him for 6 years on the local radio at MK Dons it’s always nice to see Robinson foul up a bit. Was interested to see how Lee did but he’s been very ineffective in both games

I'm going to get Covid and find Blackpool's front two before Wembley.

First legs:

Tues 18th May, 6pm: Oxford v Blackpool
Weds 19th May, 6pm: Lincoln v Sunderland

Second legs:

Friday 21st May, 7.45pm: Blackpool v Oxford
Saturday 22nd May, 3pm: Sunderland v Lincoln

Final - Sunday 30th May, 3pm

I know nothing of the sides involved except I’ve seen Sunderland and Lincoln there or thereabouts for most of the season. I hadn’t noticed Blackpool and I get the sense Oxford are the late arrivals. From a selfish point of view, I’d prefer Blackpool to go up as Lincoln and Oxford are closer and I’d quite like a visit to SoL while we have the chance.
Come on Lincoln City. I'll be rooting for you. It's only 4 years ago that we were in the same division, but there could be 4 leagues difference next season. Always enjoyed my trips to SB and have seen us win their at least two possibly 3 times. Good luck today, which is also my birthday.

Yeah you guys had a decent record at our place especially in the 90s.
Things have changed so much for us since May 2016 that for an old timer like me I have to take a step back sometimes and just realise how far we've come.
We're back where we were when I first started going in the early 80s, aiming for second tier football.

Lincoln need to wake up and asap like before Sunderland get a second goal. It's so one sided at the moment.

Problem is I'm in two minds about who I want to win this. On one hand I always root for the underdog but on the other we'll get the chance to go to Sunderland next season and I think that will be a tougher game than going to Lincoln so I really dunno :pond:

That’s why they should love Wyke.

Have Lincoln given up on defending like we did in our 1st leg?

Have Lincoln actually arrived yet? It's all Sunderland so far and they could completely blow Lincoln away if they keep this up.

Yeah bit embarrassing from Lincoln this.

Their arsehole went the second the ref blew the whistle to start the game.

That wasn't 'probably the right decision' that was definitely the right decision.

Both playoff games today it feels like fans have played a big part in. Brentford/Bournemouth the players lost there heads because of it, here Lincoln have shat themselves and been blown away first half. Doubt that happens in an empty stadium of light.

Lincoln will probably be pleased to go in at half-time with the scores still level on aggregate. They seem completely overawed by the occasion after a season of no fans, but they're still in this one as it stands.

Ouch, like watching your best mate get beat up and not been able to do anything. Like the Posh away game, just struggle to stop the oppositions momentum. Can't see a way back in this.

That dive is an absolute disgrace from a brain dead individual.

Had the chance to put a ball into the 6 yard box and does that. Brainless.

Diving in the box seems to be the way

Is it really 'fair' to have fans at the second legs when they weren't allowed in for the first legs? Even playing fields and all that.

Credit to Appleton, what he’s said at half time and changes made has got them back into this and steadied Lincoln. Totally flipped the momentum into their favour and now it’s Sunderland looking very unsure of themselves.

Sunderland players fallen apart and even their fans have given up.

Although that penalty save might swing momentum back in Sunderland’s favour.

Very poor penalty from Grant (as an aside 12 penalties this season?! That’s mad) really nice height for Burge. Could swing the pendulum back to Sunderland, fans had given it up as a bad lot I think when the pen was awarded!
