Kenedy looks alright as a left back.

If Costa made more effort to get himself out of offside positions when the ball is in the midfield he'd have been in twice from quick breaks of the ball. Bit lazy.

Costa seemed to decide he's had enough football for one day.

Pretty satisfied although bit underwhelmed that we went through so easily without Verratti and Pastore for most of the tie.
I don't think we can brag too much about knocking this Chelsea side out as they have been below CL-level all season and their lack of strength of depth was epitomized by Traoré replacing Costa.
What really got me was how comfortable we were in midfield with Rabiot on the pitch. That guy got a serious hiding at Lyon 10 days ago and tonight he held his own against a good midfield. Thought that Chelsea's only inspiration was Willian really. Hazard and Pedro were invisible.

Whoever gets the job next season should build the team around Willian imo. By far Chelsea's best player.

on another note, how long do BT have the CL rights for???
I miss the days of it on Sky. Plus Michael Owen is a complete failure at commentary

Macclesfield Town/Manchester City. It's complicated.
Jeez. I suppose it's all down to City now.

Official Silkyman Translation™ - Everyone please talk about and pin your hopes on (Manchester) City. I know the match isn't until next week but one of my teams is going to progress far into the competition this season and it makes my helmet and scrotum tingle. Oh, and by the way, I don't give a monkey's toss about the Champions League and UEFA invented the global conspiracy against (Manchester) City.

Chelsea were shite. Willian and Costa played well though. PSG cruised it though. I hate this idea the commentary team tried to gave out that all Premiership fans want to see teams in the Premiership do well. Nonsense. I want to see the good football teams do well, regardless of what league they play in. Ibrahimovic has a few seasons in him yet.

Really? How many times to you give the ball away in the middle tonight? Against a good team you will be punished.
Edit, not saying Rabiot had a bad game but midfield was your weakest area I thought..

Yeah, a better pressing side would have owned that mid. Chelsea nicked the ball in the middle plenty of times. That said, it's not the best mid PSG have to offer.
BTW Motta is still shite.

We can all go back to laughing at Chelsea now. Push from behind until they go over the cliff. Wankers.

Yeah, agree. Can't say I was overly impressed with PSG over the two legs. The superior side went through of course, but I wouldn't fancy them against one of the really big fish.

why no pato

Such a baffling signing. Lord only knows why we're prevaricating over giving Terry a new deal given how much money we must have paid out to give the likes of Falcao and Pato access to our treatment table.

Given the inferior personel we put out (no Pastore & Verratti while Matuidi didn't have a particularly good game), I thought it would have been harder. In the second half, only when Willian took the opportunity to run at us did we look uncomfortable. Hazard and Pedro might not have been there.

We'll get destroyed by Bayern and Barca but, with a full strength side, we can beat everyone else.
