That Joao Mario is one of the worst players I've ever seen at a major tournament.

Supposed to be the best player of last season in our league. Every commentator put him in a pedestal. However as you say, he has been awful. Can't do anything right.

If, for some reason we go through, he will most likely start again just because of his "mystical status", no matter how crappy he has been.

Ryan Giggs makes Michael Owen sound interesting.

Are Portugal going to win a game in 90 minutes?

Portugal are the Anti-England when it comes to shootouts. Not sure what their exact record is, but I can't remember the last time they lost one.

We lost a penalty shootout against Spain in 2012. Our penalty record isn't that great, it's just that we played penalty shootouts against England a few times.

Nearly everyone is the Anti-England when it comes to pens. I can only remember beating Spain in 96.

Well Portugal failed to impress yet again, but they find themselves in the semi finals, if they win it they are likely to be the worst winners ever, don't think they can keep playing like this though. Poland have done well this tournament to be fair and a quarter final penalty shootout defeat is no disgrace, be interested to see how they do in World Cup qualifying now. They looked pretty useful at times but just lack that extra bit of quality.

Nowhere near as bad as Greece were when they beat them back in 2004.

Has any team ever got to a semi-final without winning a match in 90 before? What a dull team.

I went to bed at HT so can't comment on the second half but reading up on it this morning, it didn't sound great.

Gutted for Poland too as they were my sweepstake team.
