Signed Adam Reach from Middlesbrough, good winger. Pickford was the best keeper in the division until he was recalled a few days ago. Apart from that, we've kept near enough the same team from last season. And for some reason, we're doing so much better than both you and MK Dons. Maybe our team and tactics are more suited for this division.

Thanks for Cunningham as well. Best left-back i've seen here since Matty Hill
Yes you are right Ben. Our expansive style was good in League One but your more contained tactics seem to do well up here.

We should never have let Cunningham go. Nor JET.

I think just not fucking about with what worked well for you last year has made the biggest difference. We did the same when we were promoted in 2010 and finished 9th. This league, in this era, ultimately gets the better of clubs like ours but it ain't hard to blag for a while.

Surely you can see how much of a fallacy that argument is, if it's even an argument at all?
Sure, clearly they are better than us. The question is why? Shocking that we have lost 20 points on them.

The goal.

First of all, as tackles from behind are no longer allowed then that was a foul on Reid.

Secondly, Bryan too slow to get back but not the major culprit.

Thirdly, we have two defenders covering, one unbelievable shows Blackman inside. And even worse, Flint goes walk about and would have stopped the chance if he had held his position.

Simply not good enough.

Bryan isn't a defender, if you want to accomadate him into the side you have to play him as a winger.

He never had to carry out defensive duties in L1, and on the rare occasion he did we were rarely put to the sword such is the poor standard of finishing in that league. The main difference in the step up is how ruthless the teams are up here, and we're finding that out every single week.

This season has been one long torture session, with the team finding increasingly excruciating ways to let down its supporters game after game. What on earth is coming next I wonder?

Looked much better when we put Blackman up front. Cooper played well at the back. McCleary looking much better again now that Brian is back. Attacked the full back and put in a lot of crosses in the box. Just a shame most were shite.

About time we had some luck go our way.

Onwards and upwards hopefully...

If you could please let us have some, that would be most grateful! We haven't got no hope!

I'm just back home so haven't read the thread yet.
For me, it was the same old stuff. Bryan and Wilbs were blowing out of their arses and it was obvious yet Mr Stubborn still didn't change anything.
While we were unfortunate to lose, we had the cutting edge of a blancmange at times.
Really gutting to lose at the end AGAIN and something HAS to change if we are to survive.
As an aside, we hit Membury just as Cott's came on to radio Bristol, yet another unbelievable interview. All the loans that can go back, Bennett apart, are going back and when asked if there were players coming in he answered with an ebullient 'NO, not at the moment'.
Oh bloody dear! There are times when I hate bloody football and the way that game ended was one of them.
We aren't winning so let's do the same old shit that hasn't worked up to now.
What's the phrase? The definition of idiocy is 'to try the same thing time and again and expect a different result'. That's BCFC this season unfortunately. :(
I'm not having a pop at SC but clearly, something must change be it his stubborn refusal to change the personnel at times or changing the Manager, I don't know but we are heading one way at the moment and it isn't up!
Rant over.
Oh yeah, great numbers from us but bugger me it was quiet! As for the home fans, were there any actually making any noise?

It's like watching Rambo on a football field. Kodjia vs whoever we're playing on that day.

Sign some players, play Reid, don't sack Cotterill. Happy New Year.

Cotterill is still a c*** and watching him fail miserably is hilarious (even though I like most of you guys)

I can't agree anymore Jordan. That game today was crying out for change a long time before we did and that's down to 1 man.
I've tried to be compassionate and loyal to SC but I do believe he's out of his depth at this level. Reading had one sub left and made a game changing one while we had 2 left and waited until 7 minutes from the end and the 93rd minute, again!
As far as I'm concerned (and I won't give SC any personal stuff as some on the other forum do), thanks for an incredible 2 years Steve, it's been immense but I support the club and not you so regretfully it's time to step aside both for the good of the club and your reputation at BCFC. For me, the time you bought yourself last season has now run out.

Just got 10 seconds into the Player interview and Cotterill said Freeman was magnificent. I've changed my mind, people.

Switch your hearing aid on you old fart and you might have heard a faint chant or 2 from myself.:bg:

But yeah it was quiet. That was our worst performance since McDermott has rejoined the club.

From someone who prefers to support managers, if Cotterill thinks Freeman was brilliant then he has got to go.

Freeman is our biggest problem.

Reid looked more lively in two minutes. I still rate Freeman, whether it's a confidence issue, I'm not sure - but he shouldn't be playing currently. Had a lot of opportunities to regain form and hasn't done so at all.

I know I am the only one who has never rated Freeman* but his record this season is atrocious.

Not good enough I am afraid and in no other team would he be given such a free rein to do fuck all. The team is built around him!!!!

*And Im clearly right about that despite all the shit last season.

If I was the 1 behind Kodjia with no defensive responsibility then Im pretty sure Id set up more goals than Freeman.

Cast your voting for the most memorable champagNe cockup bristol city FC moment of 2015-16 so far!

A The reverse signing of Ryan Fredericks 2 games after he arrived.

B Freeman's meaningless sending off that cost us the Brentford game.

C Being out of the game after 12 minutes vs Reading.

D MK Dons 95th minute equaliser.

E 0-4 at half time vs Fulham.

F Capitulation at Rotherham against one of the only teams meant to be worse than us.

G Bakers needless sending off that cost the Blackburn game.

H Charltons 95th minute equaliser.

I Bidding 9million for Gray only to discover we couldnt afford his wages. Who,d have thought it?

J The ironic hat trick scored by the aformentioned gray against us in a 4-0 dicking.

This is our season so far ladies and gentlemen. Surely the most calamatous club in the football league this season barring maybe Bolton or Villa. Can't wait to see what's coming next!! A 99th minute Greg Cunningham winner for Preston following a 7-0 battering by West Brom perhaps? An injury to Kodjia that ends his season after tripping over a blade of grass? Or who fancies another failed transfer? Messi to agree term after a 1 billion bid , fly to Ashton Gate only for Steve L to check his loose change and find that we don't actually have a billion quid. Then a week later he signs for MK Dons and scores 8 goals in a 12-0 victory, all 12 of the goals coming in the 95th minute after we miss 5 open goals and 3 penalties.

I'm here all night by the way!

Definitely H. Yate Town under 9 girls would have beaten Charlton that day.

First time I thought relegation was more probable than possible.

Although I didn't see it he'd apparently had a few spats with Cotterill throughout the game. That's who he ran towards and was shouting at.

You'll have to SHOUT LOUDER next time Dazza. I couldn't hear you over the corporate bollocks your club serves up! ;)
Was it just me or did they turn up 'Postman Pat' (WTF was that???) at the beginning because our fans started singing? It certainly seemed like it but Postman Pat??
No offence Dazza but Readings' match day experience is everything I despise about the modern game. I respect you for putting up with it but fuck that!! It's awful.

Luke, I know you're a long way from home mate but you would be genuinely amazed at how unified the supporters are. There hasn't been much infighting and the fans are together. Yes. OTIB has turned into a bitch fest but they can do that when we are doing well.
We all know something has to change but it's beyond our control so the fans really haven't kicked off the way we used to.
It's coming, I reckon, but certainly not yet!
