We're fine unless we lose all 7 games which I dont think we will. I would expect us to get 5-7 points out of Barrow, Southport and Boreham Wood and that will be more than enough. 48 points will be more than enough to stay up (I think Welling stayed up on 44 last season)

we've lost 1 in 8....
Southport seam to be in free fall.... they lost to Boreham Wood at home ffs
Boreham Wood will play to stifle you if you're at home and play for a draw, but are awful at home - we won easily at their spot 2 weeks ago, then played them at home next match and they ground out a nil-nil

I would have expected us to get something from both Chester and Alty but we lost both and shipped 12. In all probability we will spanked again Friday, and I expect Braintree to beat us Monday given the way we perform against teams above us. If we are still at least 6 points clear of the relegation zone come Monday evening I'll sit a little more comfortably.

There is absolutely no way "48 is more than enough to stay up" I think you'll stay up, but given current form I think 51 will keep you up and even if it's slightly lower, it won't be comfortable by any means.

We win all our games that leaves us with 51...we got this ;):woo:

Stockport went down on 50. Safety was 54 that season (well Southport were on 54, so 55).

It was a crazy end to that season because the teams who had a chance of staying up just kept on winning.

We were relegated 2 seasons ago with 51 (the season that Hyde hardly won a game).
Would be extremely happy get to 51 this season

I remember the 51 season, but assumed it was a higher total because as you say most teams got 6 points gifted to them by Hyde (although we only got 4).

We beat Hyde 2-1 (a) and 3-2 (h) and we lucky to do so, but their subsequent 2nd relegation the following season proved they were sh!te.

We have officially avoided a potential third relegation in a row. A sobering moment.

Some people are saying on our forum that the 2nd half performance was the worst since we reformed in 2010. It's hard to disagree with that and it's only 18 days since we won 8-2. Difficult to see where the next point is coming from let alone the next win. Shaw played the whole game so it was as if we'd had a player sent off in the 0th minute.

yeah I've just seen your forum, not pretty - but fans of all teams have been there at one time or another - that tw@t Vaughan took us both there in the past. The difference was Barrow closed your players down and Jordan Williams had a blinder - 2 goals and a 25 yard half volley that crashed off the bar. Cox builds teams that battle, Burr seams to like to play pretty football, which doesn't get you out of problems. Sacking him and getting the 2/3 game bounce might not be the worst idea...

We cannot afford to sack him. It would cost about £100K. Him and his mate McCarthy are completely clueless. Doubt that even the happy clappers would be sad to see him sacked now.

It's almost like Steve Burr isn't as good as everyone thought he was. Beginning to get found out following the four good months he once had at Kidderminster.

Basically the Gary Neville of Non-League. Even involved with England C.

I can't be mithered checking our forum to see what they're all saying to be honest, I can guess because it's the same every week.

We can't afford to sack Burr, but I don't think I would if we could right now, pressing the panic button when we've still got a little cushion over the bottom four with winnable home games still to come. We've been in this sort of position for months and for what it's worth I think it's where we'll finish but the season has been a huge let down.

Everybody is quoting the home games against Welling and BorehamWood as the 2 wins that will see us safe, but on today's showing they are nailed on away wins. I joke not. We made a bang average Barrow side look like Brazil today.

Four good months? It was across 36 matches we went from bottom to 2nd. We were also 3rd behind only Luton and Cambridge when we sacked him. Also, the two seasons prior to our title challenge, we finished 6th. Hardly one good short spell.

beat Chester at home and you'll be ok....
we'll try and beat Halifax for you....
Hold your horses a minute. One minute you are saying you don't win back to back matches, now you are saying you are going to try and win. I get less mixed messages from flirty barmaids.

Very big game at Neverbuildit Park tomorrow.

Crucial few games coming up with three out of 5 being against sides in the dogfight. As much as i would enjoy going to Eco-Park and get three points to hand the title to Cheltenham, i can't see it happening though knowing our luck we would win at Cheltenham and still go down.

I'm gutted, at 12pm we were looking nailed on again for a shot at that Conference North title we set the blueprints for in the summer and then a crazy 20 seconds sends us flying into a cocked hat again. This Harvey guy is really starting to piss me off now, it's almost as though he hasn't read the bloody script ffs. :dk:
