Just a tiny bit more to it than that. Given the tight deadline after the long drawn out planning consent the club have been forced to do only what was necessary to get the A grade. Just no time to complete what they wanted to do so that will now come later.

Nah, only in jest - it's in a lot better state than Welling's ground is and that somehow gets passed as fit.

In all honesty though, from the pictures I do not see how the capacity has doubled from our play off games - without it being completely made up.

Thought the same when we were there on Monday. I know we've been twice down the years and it's been segregated on both occasions so difficult to tell but there weren't any visable changes that I could see.

Cheers, I reddit, I just don't geddit. Is there a new terrace or owt to make the capacity go up? A nominal extra step behind the home goal?

I've heard a terrace behind one/both goal(s) mooted there for a few years now and think that'd make a huge difference to how the place is rated. I'm guessing the mini Jenga tower of boxes on the side of the main stand has been replaced by summat substantial with some more viewing spots there?

I'm glad GAFC aren't stopping with just reaching minimal requirements like Farsley Celtic farcically did and hope what's getting built later will be both substantial and not be met by NIMBYs next door.

The railway end fence has moved back i think giving more room and an extra terrace with crush barriers, round the corner onto the cricket side a double terrace with barriers, club shop removed and double terrace with barriers down to the club house. Home end goal double terrace with barriers. Extra turnstiles and toilets at away end. The main difference seems to be installing lots of crush barriers to permit a higher safe number rather than expansion of available space.
Having a good view of the pitch from every spot is another thing all together though.

For crying out loud, this is going to be close!

Three consecutive home games now - Chester, Tranmere and Alty. Need 6/9 and I think we'll be safe.

We're sleepwalking to relegation on the final day unfortunately.

Can't see us getting anything from Torquay on Tuesday as at least they are putting up a fight against the drop.

We have a shocking run of games to come - Dover, Bromley, Torquay, Eastleigh and Brantree. Even Welling have now won 2 on the bounce. We've won 2 from the last 18 league games, doomed IMO.

We're in a similar position - looking like the only opportunity for us is Torquay and Welling. Can't see us taking anything from Lincoln, Grimsby or Gateshead.

You only need 1 win - you'll be fine.

If we got 4 points from Welling and Torquay I think we would be safe, but it's very unlikely we will.

It'll be fun if this comes down to GD. Boreham are on -8 but others are on -24, -22, -23, -23!

Tonight was unbelievably tense for that second half.

Chester looked threatening but there was a hell of a lot of last ditch defending from ourselves.

Looks like it could be over for us on Saturday if we don't beat Welling away.

It's quite fun watching this all unfold from a safe - but close - distance.

Sort of like poking GuiseleySteve's dog lion from the outside of its cage with a stick.

I did say we needed a minimum of four points over Easter, we only got one, only ourselves to blame :dk:
We'll just have to crush Cheltenham on Saturday :fl:

Whoever goes down, I get the feeling 18th–21st will read 50, 49, 48, 48 points or summat ridiculous.

Oh gooood I need to stop thinking about this.

just to further worry you all - have you see Welling's last 4 games.... Kidderminster, Chester, Altrincham and Boreham Wood... it's not impossible that they could win all 4 of them taking them to 47 points but also limiting how many points the other 4 can get

I'd be delighted if Welling won all those.

We're in seriously deep shit now. If someone offered me the position of having a chance of survival going into the last game against Braintree I'd take it. I fear we might be down before that.

That Halifax result a couple of weeks back was the killer. How did we let ourselves lose to 10 men? FFS.

Having played you both fairly recently I wondered the same, Halifax were truly awful at Barrow and you're team had fight in them.

Someone has just put the relegation odds on Deva Chat and we are a very generous 9/1.

I believe that we may only get 1 or 2 more points.

I couldn't believe it on Tuesday at Plainmoor that he again selected Worsnop over Thompson and Tractor Tom. Worsnop dropped 6 shots and was very fortunate that no-one was following up. We improved significantly when Lloyd replaced Tractor Tom. I spent 2 nights and £250 in Torquay and witnessed garbage from my woeful team.

That's a fine set of results. We deserved something but it's another game closer to safety.

Tuesday is one of the biggest matches at Plainmoor in a number of years now, I think.

And us but we could only keep Chelts at bay for eighty minutes. We had contained them very well up to that point. We had planned to counter attack using Emile Sinclaires pace but he pulled up with a hamstring injury after ten minutes which left us rather toothless. There's a great spirit in the camp still though so onwards to Wrexham at home on Tuesday.

How're 'Nam looking? We play them away next Saturday as they look to seal the title and hey, you never know where your wins will come from...

They were solid, organised and professional but failed to create anything clear cut in the first half. We sat deep and kept possession as much as possible. Gary Johnson made two changes at half time as we were limiting them. One of their subs scored a great header on eighty minutes from eight yards from a soft/dubious free kick out on the wing. We had to get forward after that and Holman sealed it on the counter. A very good team and they deserve the title, fair play to them.
