Interesting that a Charlton Journo tweeted that he flew to Belgium last week. Which proves that Kelvin Thomas lied on Radio Numpty that he and Wilder knew nothing about it on the bus tour. I mean it obvious before because nothing that big can be arranged all on a monday morning.

Our BBC sports journalist took a battering (not for the first time) from Wilder for having the audacity to even mentioned the future after the Portsmouth game.

This has all turned rather sour.

McCabe still hasn't been drawn on if Adkins is staying/going but a supposed 'itk' poster did say about 6 weeks back that Adkins would be gone and Wilder was first choice to replace him...maybe Charlton being interested has pushed us forward in an approach?

There was no official approach from us only media speculation, so I think he came out and said he wasn't interested (or words to that affect), the thing is Alan Knill wanted to move back to the North West, so am not sure where all this stands now

I don't think it's a coincidence that you're rumoured to be after him within hours of news leaking that the deal with us was off.

I think Sheff Utd were monitoring the situation and as soon as it looked like collapsing you made your move knowing Northampton are ready to let him go and that he is ready to talk to other clubs.

Personally hope he gets the job at your place and runs away with the league, will further embarrass the club.

Not officially, although if this guy is correct then he has known for a while he was a gonner without promotion...although I'm not McCabe so just going off what he is saying.

Meh, if true I'm glad we're looking at getting a replacement in asap or seeing if we can get anyone better before pushing him out the door. If it works in our favour I dont particularly care or feel sorry for Adkins, not like he wont get a good payout for being sacked. I'm still torn on whether I want him to stay or not anyway.

Won't happen.

Any hope that we had of getting a British manager in that knows these leagues were squashed yesterday when the club wouldn't give Wilder guarantees over control of the team, signings etc in writing.

No-one will accept those terms other than another Roland puppet, which we will inevitably end up with.
