Europe making a far better fist of it this afternoon. Guessing that they realised that they needed a 3-1 minimum, and it looks like the Yanks are running out of steam a bit. Koepka more than justifying his inclusion this afternoon, he's been magnificent.

Got a lot of time for Brooks Koepka. He had the nous to choose to learn his trade on the European Tour when most of his compatriots would turn up their noses at the thought. He's was a popular lad on the European Tour and is now a far more rounded player for the experience.

One back, great stuff from Stenson, -7 for 15 holes, far better than this morning when they were losing holes to pars. Going to give Europe a fair bit of belief with that turnaround in form.

I'd have absolutely took 5-3 at COP after that debacle in the morning. Good stuff

Massive improvement in the afternoon session, especially nice to see both rose and stenson turn their form around after losing in the morning although they didn't play that badly in the morning anyway just struggled with their putting.

Also good to see mcilroy keep his nerve to close his and pieters game out. Plus the 2 spaniards played very nicely together.

Was always going to be a uphill battle after getting battered in the morning session but very encouraging signs from a Europe point of view.

Rory McIlroy/Thomas Pieters and Sergio Garcia/Rafa Cabrera-Bello back together for the morning fourballs with Stenson and Rose split up.

Hopefully we can really build on the momentum from yesterday!

Brave choice to split Rose and Stenson this morning.

Fitzpatrick should be ideal in foursomes, good steady player particularly tee to green. Not so sure about Wood in foursomes, I thought he would have made his debut this afternoon and Sullivan could have been a better bet this morning.

What an incredible set of foursomes matches and another great effort from Europe. :)

McIlroy/Pieters superb again leading the side out in the all important first game.

Rose/Wood, very solid, Chris Wood the pride of Bristol this evening for as solid a rookie debut as I've seen for a long time. I thought they had blown it after Rose's appalling choice of shot into the 16th to gift them that hole but the boys were strong over the last two holes.

Stenson/Fitzpatrick, I felt sorry for these two as Snedeker/Koepka got away with murder on the back nine, often having huge slices of luck on their side after very wayward play. All credit to the American pair for holing the key putts but our two were a bit mugged I felt.

Garcia/Cabrera-Bello, wow what an amazing comeback from four down deep into the back nine. Speith/Reid were playing outrageously good foursomes golf early on, four under through the first seven, but the Spaniards first hung on against the onslaught and then prospered as the USA team faded, just as they did yesterday afternoon, to register a very important half point..

Clarke has gone heavily for experience this afternoon in the vital fourball matches. Momentum is very much with Europe now and team must be buzzing.

Just one point in it now, Game on!

Europe are definitely on top at the minute with the Garcia/Cabrera-Bello comeback epitomising what we have achieved since that opening morning.

Looking at the fourball pairings I would fancy Europe to be ahead going into the singles matches tomorrow

Loving Rory's attitude in this Ryder Cup. He's getting dogs abuse from the home fans, a minority of who are increasingly getting out of order, but it's just making him play better and better. :)

There are quite a few Americans behaving in a way that would see people dragged away and kicked out of a course in the UK. I'm all for the atmosphere in the Ryder Cup but too many Americans are just being total dicks

Oh and anyone found to be shouting 'GET IN THE HOLE!!' on the tee of a 500+ yard hole should be instantly banned from any course in the world

Things still very evenly matched at the moment. Would be a massive psychological advantage if we could sneak ahead today

Westwood just missed out on getting us a half point but it's 2 ahead for the USA.

Just got back from a brilliant awayday in York in time to see that. Whereas Clarke got it spot on picking Peiters, going for Westwood was picking a mate for mates sake, given he's been shocking for a year now.

That said, Stenson, you fucking hero.

Gutted, I can't see any come back from here.

This is a completed different scenario to Medinah, all the momentum is with USA.

If, and it's a massive if, Rose and Stenson can steal a half from this last match, that would be a huge kick in the bollocks for the septics. Can;t really see it though the way Reed is playing.

One good thing though, Reed is going to be knackered for the singles, given he's carried Spieth around the course for 2 days

JSA? Job seekers allowance?

Do we need to win like 9 of todays 12 singles to retain? Ouch, going to take some doing. Looking at it though, I don't see why we can't win the first 5 matchups, then it's all to play... we could have another Medina

I think 6 and a half will be enough to win but stand to be corrected, it's possible but will need some good performances from some of the rookies.

There's only 12 singles though isn't there and we're 3 down?

Going to be tough for us to win it now, but yesterday afternoon was some great golf being played and great to watch, lets hope for more today.
