Decent enough game at the Lane today.

I felt Sutton were the more dominant side in the 1st half without creating too much until Kenny Davis’ beautifully taken free-kick on 37 minutes.

FGR came out for the 2nd half early and on fire and it was inevitable that they would equalise.

The FGR goal woke us up a little and we started to get back into it, and had a great spell after the introduction of ex-FGR man Omar Bugiel on 70 minutes, during which 2 shots were cleared off the line, the 2nd of which was extremely close to being fully over the line, if not a smidge fully over. It was too close to call however.

Our momentum more or less burst following our final substitution and FGR were in control for the remainder of the game, without creating a solid chance to take all 3 points, save for a couple of (what looked like from the Sutton end) rather theatric falling overs in the Sutton penalty area.

Over the course of the 90 minutes both sides did enough to avoid losing without really doing enough to win. A point apiece seems about fair.
Stonewall pens Jared, I had a great view on the radio.

I didn't have a good view of the foul Yems is talking about, wrong angle but one foul red/yellow hoice doesn't make the ref poor. He is right about his fitness levels though. That belly is about as big as mine!

Adams be gone soon, then he’ll get another job at a small L2 side and make them promotion contenders.

Can't see him being sacked this season. Reckon he'll be here until Christmas at the least :(

I don’t know enough about him, but based on the two post match interviews I’ve seen this season, Yems seems like an insufferable prick. Not sure how Crawley fans put up with that nonsense every week.

He's ridiculously arrogant, isn't he? In the same interview he also said "I've got all the records in League Two. I'm a league one manager who's dropped down a level."

Moment in the second half where he told some fans to shit down and shut up. I genuinely hope he goes soon. People who've been going 50+ years and they don't want to go anymore. He's really that bad. I think McCall or Trueman would have this team higher.

I am one of those that have been going over 50 years and it's getting to be a right chore under Adams, just going out of habit, because it's certainly not entertaining.

The atmosphere today was the flattest for many a year, until some on the kop woke up and chanted for Adams to go with about 10 mins to go.

Hats off to the Exeter fans who travelled in decent numbers and sang all game.

I've never known a manager alienate fans such as this arrogant man in all the years I've been going.

Season ticket sales will be a hard sell for Sparks this summer if Adams is still here.

Adams out!

I think they may get rid, it’s a lot easier to keep somebody who’s doing badly but not having a go at everyone including the fans - I’m all for sticking with managers and giving them time but he’s digging his own grave.

Barrow 0 Satanage 0
kicked off 90 mins late due to floodlight issues.
1st half Amari-Holloway hit the post and we should have had 2 clear penalties (even the Stevenage commentator said so apparently)
2nd half Amari-Holloway stretches for a tackle on Chris Lines who fakes a career ending injury (was obviously up running around perfectly fine 60 seconds later) and ref shows Amari-Holloway a red card (was a yellow card offence at worst), then another pen not given as Brough was brought down in the box.
Stevenage had a lot of pressure late on but were toothless up front. Stevenage's No6 (Luke Prosser) then scythes down one of the Barrow players in the 96th minute - a tackle far worse than Holloways and only gets a yellow - but it's his 2nd so he's sent off aswell.
never dull up here....

That red card was given for the Stevenage player's scream. Looked a 50/50 to me - interested to see if studs were up, as I suspect that's what the ref thought.

The most disgraceful decision was the second handball shout - just put his hand up and stopped it, and the ref was only a few yards away. The first one was debatable, but I thought the one on Brough looked like it should've been a penalty and a red. Possibly not.

Stevenage were really, really bad - absolute dogshit, to be honest - but still should've scored twice in the first half. Hard to say why we're so ineffective against defensive teams, but this had 0-0 written all over it when you realised their intention was to play for a point.

As much as I’m happy for Adams to go I hope to god he isn’t replaced by either of them, this team ain’t that good. They’d play nicer looking football but still have the same glaring weaknesses, mainly most of them are shit.

I’d have loved Paul Cook, but unfortunately we can’t compete with some non league teams these days.

I think whilst Pett was through on goal it was probably just far enough out to not be a red. He was awful though, made a rod for his own back letting everything go in the first ten minutes then did a complete about turn blowing up for pretty much everything. Neither team could get any rhythm at all.
He was closer than Mad Cov was at their place when he saw red.

Referee was abysmal, clown who forgot to play injury time at Orient a few weeks ago.

That said we could be playing now and it would still be 0-0, pitch isn’t helping us at home as all. Surprised how angry Clarke was with the performance but felt we played to Northamptons style rather than try and stamp our own on the game, ball spent most of the afternoon 60 foot in the air!

Both sides in fairness looked very good defensively and as the game wore on I didn’t feel we would lose the game but didn’t do anywhere near enough in the final third.

Good battle, awful spectacle is probably the best description!

Tough battle in windy conditions, Sutton are a quality side and their free kick was top drawer. We were sent out early second half and improved, deserved the point in the end although that looked a pen for that foul on March at the end.

Stewards at Sutton were absolute class, good banter, said they hoped we’d win and even joined in chants waving one of our scarfs.

Thing is, he aint.

If his team doesn't play properly or plays poorly he goes into these rants but when we play OK and get beat he is still upset but not ranting. If you notice he does blame himself for picking the team out there.

Also when you meet him he is an agreeable sort. Happy, chatty and well worth listening to on matters football.

By the way. If you was at the game did you see the foul he was on about?

Like I said I don’t know enough about him, I may well be wrong but can only base my opinion on the twice we come up against yourselves this season, and he’s came across as bitter and difficult to deal with on both occasions, even to your own media person who is interviewing him.

Seen the tackle and admittedly it was a bad one, can’t deny that. Over the top of the ball and on another day with a different ref it could have been a red 100%

But I don’t think Yems demeanour is solely because of that decision because he seems just as mardy with questions about a number of different topics. Was also the same at the start of the season.

Yems bizarrely is not a negative bloke.
When he was with us he always just gave his honest opinions and comments, he was not overly negative or grumpy. He's at risk of becoming a meme because when his players dont make the effort he says as much and when refs make bad calls he shows his frustration.

He's not as one-eyed as the interviews make him seem.

(Derek Adams on the other hand is an actual egotistical c**t.)

IF what Mark Cooper said in his aftermatch interview is correct - that he's seen the video of the incident and Amari-Holloway went into the tackle studs facing the ground, got the ball and then his foot hit the pitch not Chris Lines then the club will obviously appeal the red card. I would also hope that the EFL have the guts to throw the book at the defender for what even at the time looked like a faked injury.

Two teams cancelled each other out. You can tell why Northampton are doing well. It's not pretty or particularly exciting but if you keep clean sheets and look solid and are good at set pieces, you are always likely to pick up a lot of 1-0's . It's not great entertainment for fans but it might just get them up
We didn't really seem to want to go for it and I wonder whether we just wanted to keep the unbeaten run going, with a view to a few easier fixtures coming up after next weekend. In spite of the fact that if we win our games in hand, we'll be close to the automatics, I still think it's beyond us. We definitely miss the craft of Conlon and the drive of Gibbons. That might have unlocked a stubborn Northampton side.
The good thing is that if we were to get in the playoffs we may likely have our best squad to pick from which is probably in the top 3 in the league. Plus, these players will be fresh....Proctor, Conlon, Gibbons etc.

Can't see the bit about the Stevenage player happening, has anyone had a retrospective ban for feigning/exaggerating injury or diving?

On the game itself despite the meltdown by quite a few, I feel slightly more positive than anything after that result, reckon we would have won that with 11 men, and following the sending off in previous weeks we would have gone on to lose it. Clean sheet kept which is a start.

I'm pretty sure there was a player last season who got banned for it - think it was another of the teams near the bottom

If Holloway's shot had hit the inside of the post and gone in, the forum would be saying how well we played. Absolute wetwipes the majority of our more vocal fans.

One said "I can't see us scoring again this season"...

Some terrible shouts at the ground today too - I think some would prefer us to spend 90 minutes hitting passes aimlessly down the line to nobody, as long as we're getting it forwards.
