Whichever Mansfield fan said their corners were shit was a bit wrong
Check the stats before those two corners hahah. Only scored one which was short. County are so poor defensively which made it easier.

Getting a mauling here. The Notts fans might stop touching themselves over the magic roundabout guardiola for a few weeks at least.

what’s the point in fannying around at the back, taking a gamble with their short passes, only for it to eventually go back to the keeper who hoofs it.

Tbf, that’s what we do a fair bit as well.

Jesus, County getting utterly mauled. They've been horrendous. Don't even think Mansfield have played that well either.

As i said before the game, the result would depend if county came and played football against us, don’t do do it as they’ll get dicked.

county came and played football, and they got absolutely dicked, they’ve been absolutely all over the place. Why would you come play open expansive football against us?

Such a shame that it’s such a bad result on their big day out.

Who’s this longstaff lad, did he play?

Not watching, but presumably they tried to sit on a 1-0 lead for the second weekend running? So much for the East Midlands Globetrotters.

Fair play to Mansfield, very professional. Didn’t create a single chance all game mind, but their press and organisation was superb

It’s a completely different game if we aren’t forced to play such a dysfunctional side. Jones would have massacred Bowery on the left BUT not an excuse just an indication that we haven’t really got the depth to compete at the top yet. We play such a precise and risky way that removing one player is like a house of cards.

Williams deciding to make a change in goal was insane too. Not the reason we lost but fuck me, was Slocombe playing the game concussed or what

Question for me though is WHY haven't you got the depth? Why are players like Brindley playing at CB, Austin at LWB etc? You look at your bench and I didn't see a single game changer. I know you're missing Jones, Scott and Cameron, but how is Jim O'Brien your back up CM?

I mean i’m confused by the first sentence, “didn’t create a single chance all game mind” i’m intrigued when we’ve scored 4 and absolutely massacred you on county’s big day out.

What happens when someone does create a chance?

I wonder when Notts will play someone good?

I've heard we normally beat Notts coz we're just more up for it against the stylish bigger club. Hard to believe we were 4x as up for it though and questions should be asked of County if that was the case but I guess the numbers don't lie?

It's probably just the games but I've seen but I've seen Notts three times in the last six months or so and admittedly that's a small sample but going off those games alone, some of their own fans comments on here are borderline delusional to be waxing lyrical as much as they have.

Also is Langstaff not a big game player or something? Been largely ineffective in all three of those matches.

Excellent stuff from the Stags though, comfortably the best side I've seen this season twice now. Can't see them not going up.

Strong team for the Alex today, got Chris Long back which is a huge boost. Gone 4-3-3 by the looks of it. Fingers crossed we take the game to Tranmere, can't help but feel nervous given their long winless streak at Gresty Road and their away record this season.

you had about 25 shots on goal, I’m at a loss how anyone can watch that and say you didn’t create a chance. Some gilt edge chances missed too, could have been a cricket score line

Edit: reread and sounds like it was a comment about County, so never mind!

It's your cup final presumably.

Notts are very good on their day but their are question marks in the big games. They were largely poor against us at the Racecourse, and made heavy weather against a vastly inferior Chesterfield and Boreham Wood teams in the play offs.

Also if I'd be pissed off if I was a Notts fan with their continual poor performance in cup games. Do they not want the money?

That said, I didn't watch today but I've been really impressed with Mansfield when I've seen them this season. Between them and Stockport for the mantle of best team in the league.
