It’s an odd one as we’ve kept the unbeaten run going but yet was the better side in both.

I said at the beginning of the season i’d be surprised if we lost any of the first 5, it’s more what happens when we play the first decent team of the season next week.

Creepy beat us in all the statistics, our keeper saved a penalty and their defender scored our goal.

Normally a bit embarrassed to win games like that but, as its WAGMI, who know and swear by their statistics ("takin' Crawley Town to the Premier League")....Get in !!

Wrexham have shipped 12 goals at home already this season. In 3 games. Need to learn they aren’t playing in a pub league anymore, defending like that will send them straight back down.

Ended 0-1 at Crawley with some sort of punch up at the end.

I feel we had the better of the game but it was close all over the pitch.

A few things to take from that.

Ogie/Ogle is a decent defender. His cross for the goal. Breaking up play, got back for a great headed clearance. Just a good defender.

We lost but we weren't crap. The difference between today and last seasons fixture is chalk and cheese. It's annoying to lose but sometimes you just have to suck it up.

Chalton loanee, Aaron Henry, came on in the second half for us. There's a decent player there. Not spectacular, but when he found himself in space he stayed still and he was rotating the ball and weighed in with a few defence splitting passes.

I have no idea what constitutes a foul anymore. I think both sets of players and both sets of fans didn't believe the decisions from the ref. I know they have been told to let physical contact go but there is a difference between physical contact and blatant assault. There were the tippy tappy fouls from last season still being given and blatant pushes in the back waved on. I'm sure Gillingham fans will come on here and say the should have more fouls given but we should have had two more penalties. The first the defender tried to tackle missed the ball caught the man. The second our player was just shoved in the back. One smiley moment though. Gills player tried to shield the ball near our touchline and he was almost shoved into the stand and the ref gave a throw in to us.

Gills remind me of Orient last season. Good shout to be up there.

Well the BTTS treble on Grimsby, Wrexham and Doncaster games hit just thanks to that injury time consolation goal. Rare I'm happy when Notts concede.

Dominate display from Notts, almost perfect with new keeper Stone impressing in goal (relief around) , Bostock running the show first half (standard), Jones displaying quality as usual and certain Mr Langstaff (remember him?) scoring a brace to cap a terrific performance. Needless concession at the end but :£

Expected at least a point and fully expected to score and entertain, but didn't expect a dominate and thoroughly deserved victory. I know they've not started the season well and only managed one point against an injury ravaged (yawn) Mansfield but that's a good 3 points and makes the 4 from 6 (Grimsby and Morecambe) now look a very good 7 from 9.

No it won't , for multiple reasons. Plus it's a very good time to play them.

Joke that today they are shite game should have been over in the first half but we do what we do and allow them back in.
As I said above, the first hour was the worst I've seen us play for ages - we massively got away with that. I don't think we are shite but we played like we are for most of the game today. It's probably what happens when there's so many teenagers in the team, but we have only played well in patches so far this season.

Hahahaha how did Morecambe score three against Bradford? Could still be playing our game against them now and they wouldn’t have committed three men out of their own area yet.

Another one of those games we should’ve put to bed.

Slow getting out of the blocks and in reality grimsbys only proper chance was that strike which he’s missing 999 times out of a 1,000.

Poor from mansfield but dominant, was worried for a minute for a challenge which was last man but it looks like from commentary the lads dived looking for a penalty as he was never going to make it.

Think grimsby looked pretty alright tbh, I reckon if they’ve a good run etc they’ve every chance of a top half finish this season.
Holohan had one tipped over the bar as well towards the end of the first half after a lovely move which was arguably a better chance/move than any of yours bar the DKD one on one.

And the Bowery shove was a straight red preventing a goal scoring chance, not sure what there is to argue against there! He's got the ball under control.

Regardless of those two though you were definitely the better side, but I'd expect that from a strong automatic promotion fave that has only had to make minor tweaks in the market vs a potential playoff challenger that has made wholesale changes. Decent point for both sides all in all, I'd say.

you were too busy passing the ball on the halfway line for large portions of the game

We've also got the youngest frontline in the division as well

Didn't manage to see today's game but we really need to start games better, some how we keep getting away with it but surely we can't keep making these comebacks.

It’s what we do, you didn’t bite and got the 0-0 fair play, but you wouldn’t have scored three if we were still playing now.

Good from us today. Can’t play this kind of football at this level, teams will work us out etc etc.

Sounds like Draper has had an excellent start to the season and his loan spell, Saddlers?

I'm guessing they had more than 25% possession in today's game. Just a hunch.

Mark Hughes struggling in the depths of L2, who would have thought it?!

Followed the club since the early nineties and I don't think I've ever seen worse defending and goalkeeping than this and that includes pre-season games to local pub teams. Hughes out.

Langstaff loves a brace

Definitely an element of confidence player in him. Wouldn't surprise me if he now goes in a bit of a streak.

With that defence?

No chance! LOL

Hayden close to coming back. We miss him quite a lot, too slow and not aggressive enough without him.

13 goals conceded from 17 shots on target across three games also tell a story....

Put sutton to the sword. Get in. We really are solid. Not spectacular but solid. When our strikers start scoring we will be a tough proposition to beat.

Get shot of Tozer. He’s a useless lump of a defender. Just playing because of his throws isn’t really paying off.

It's easy to score in L2, but if you can't keep clean sheets then you're not going to be among the front runners.
