None existent left hand side, Angol not loads better, just wish he was good as he thinks he is

Angol has been Hartlepool's best defender, to be honest. Constantly hogging the ball and slowing everything down. I'd rather have Theo Robinson on the wing.

An absolutely woeful first half from us. Hartlepool the better side. We're very, very poor in both boxes. I can't remember a City team being so bad at set pieces. Scott Banks is knocking out corners for throw-ins. Smallwood is either unfit or just naff - Hartlepool running rings around him. Wish he'd cut out all these garbage long passes and keep it simple. I stuck up for Ridehalgh last season but really regret it now. He's got beaten every single time. Keeps losing his runner. Every time he's in possession he just hits it long and aimlessly. Harry Chapman has talent but seemingly cannot be arsed. Speaking of being lazy, is there a particular reason why we really never seem to press? Hartlepool has been great in that respect. If their passing in the final third was a little better we'd be losing. Cooke being Cooke and passing it instead of smashing it into the back of the net. His decision-making really lets him down. If the game continues the way it has then I fancy Hartlepool to go on and nick it.

People will call me pessimistic, but I'm really worried. This team, at the moment, looks like a lower half side.
Put the knife back in the drawer mate it's not worth it.

It’s not been a bad game at all he’s been his usual ott self. Both teams have had chances, but we have been wasteful but we are league 2 every team is. We started off the better but you’ve come back into it well. Been a good watch so far, mistakes in both sides.

We're either way too open at the back or can't create any chances. We are not very good at all.

I think we’ve gone all retro this afternoon looking at the line-up - 2-3-5.

Lindsey is either a tactical genius or a footballing dullard.

I know which my money would be on!

Deserved win in the end, Cook’s response to losing his place at start of the season has been immense!

We are absolute fucking dogturd, that second half, rubbish. Cant score, can't defend, only one way we're heading
Can’t defend, no midfield presence at all, and offer nothing going forward.

Other than that we are mint

I'm fuming mate, the recruitment has been awful, Hartley comes in, perhaps underestimating the level, brings in his shite players with no balance in the squad at all. I can't see where we can improve the team based on what we have. Thanks to him and Raj Singh we are absolutely fucked.

Jordan Turnbull fit, so Rovers with an unchanged team at Newport.

Total shite. Players not good enough, manager out of his depth and the owners a blagger.

Got absolutely no hope.

Getting absolutely battered off Stevenage so far. Only a matter of time before our weak inexperienced defence buckles.

We're in big trouble and despite wanting to wait for 10 games to pass, I don't think Hartley has it in him.

Usual slow start leads to Salford scoring, now Anderson has gone off. Absolutely awful so far

The inevitable Stevenage goal has come. The first of many based on the way this game is going.

As predicted, exposing our physically weak defenders.

Diabolical.

What a poor poor team we look. I’m just hoping and preying there are two worse teams than us come May.

Pools are heading back to the National League, simple.
Poor players,wrong formation,no tactics,no shape,no pressing,no tacking,passed off the park 2nd half by a fairly average side.
Really pissed off with what I’ve just seen, but I was expecting this with Raj’s cheap as chips recruitment.

Some players hearts not in it when the going gets tough, No hiding place for PH.

Can,t see for the life of me what reasoning he can come up with, I really don,t.
Whats the point in waiting until another 15 points have gone begging.

Cook took his goals really well, But (no disrespect) Bradford are nowhere near the finished article.

And no it wasen,t a penalty, He was looking for it.

Rovers trailing at the break. Sounds like poor defending after going in front from an og, but we have had decent chances and not taken them.

I thought Bradford were pretty good, hard to tell though as we were hardly any opposition, pretty even first half in which we might've just shaded without being at all threatening, even though they somehow missed from 3 yards twice in the space of seconds, second half we never laid a glove on them and they ran out deserved winners.

Romoney and Platt look like a great pairing, Smallwood is a silly signing in this league and I thought Harrett looked like a quality player, these will be top 7 comfortably this season, we'll be bottom three.

Commiserations Hartlepool on your relegation, I guess it will be kids and fringe players for your remaining 41 dead rubbers to get prepared for next season.

We must have some kind of curse on us, another 3 players off injured just as we were looking close to having a full squad for the first time in 18 months
