Boring wum.
Try harder
how many do you reckon you will bring up to Barrow Saturday? - i'm guessing with the ongoing fuel panic and some fans having done the Barrow trip during your National League Siesta that the numbers will be lower than they otherwise would have been?

my mate left at 1-2 yesterday

and worse than that, his dad turned up 20 mins late and left early, so in a 3-2 vale win, the only goals he saw was 2 leyton orient goals.

Looks like tomorrow Vale are finally to release the clip they’ve found of the Dazzlers Mourinho knee slide! Our fans have been desperately wanting it found! Just to see “don’t get excited” Daz go nuts!

Can't remember highs and lows occurring in quick succession like that in a long while. Seemingly an 87th minute winner and what would have been a very impressive away result followed by two goals against in the 91st and 93rd minute. That defeat stung today. Still, I think we are capable of moving on quickly from this and I still fancy us for a good haul of points against Barrow and home to Hartlepool.

We had the same happen last season, on 19 points after 10 games we were 3-2 up at home to Tranmere in the 92nd minute and lost 4-3… that absolutely killed us and we won 3 in 25 (2 of those wins were Grimsby and Southend) after that and that was with an experienced squad so easier said that done to bounce back from that, if you get a quick win though it would settle nerves.

Mind you Jackett is far better than Askey so you’ve got that which we didn’t last season.

I do feel for the Orient fans because that was the sickest id felt after a defeat that was. Especially as we’d battled for ages with 10 men.

I think Tranmere’s goals for and against show a false picture. Whilst our defence has improved dramatically dealing with set play’s over last season, the woodwork has come to our rescue an awful lot thus far. Don’t know if it’s just me, but both Tranmere and the oppo seem to have been a lot more wasteful in front of goal than your typical 4th division season.
I think its just in the clubs DNA to stress the hell out of us all by never making us feel relaxed at games.

Took 260 to Carlisle, so it will be around the same number I'd have thought. With England playing at 5pm and away from home it will knock a few off the numbers.

I myself nearly went to Andorra too, but haven't got the time to be messing around and chancing Covid tests getting in and out of the country with work.

Yes I think Jackett will help. Ultimately we just lost a tight away game against a form side. It's just the way it happened that stings a bit. If we had lost 1-0 and played crap no one would raise an eye brow. The weird thing is we have looked defensively solid this season infact had one of the best defensive records going into the game, so didn't see a late collapse like that. Dan Happe one of our 3 at the back had a nightmare and has been the weak link this season and had been dropped but got back in the side Saturday because Mitchell was injured. He is taking the brunt of the blame at the moment.

Credit to Vale though, usually going 2-1 down with minutes left spells the end but they showed great belief.

In the season's we've played you Happe has always looked a real liability in most of those games, especially the 3-3 a couple of seasons back but does seem to be rated usually??

It was a great contest in the end and both sides should fancy a crack at a challenge this season, you sorted yourselves out at half time and bounced back strong and 99 times out of 100 you get a result when going ahead that late on.

Good luck for the rest of the season and hopefully another top end clash at your place later in the season.

When Happe first broke through he looked a great young prospect. But I think he has showed poor form since the middle of last season and has regressed slightly. There was talk of him moving up the divisions but in all truth he is at this moment an average at best L2 centre back that would struggle with L1. Beccles and the young Ogie on the other hand look great and Mitchell a loanee from Millwall looks a good prospect.

I think we are a progressive club at the moment with good owners and I don't think we would of been able to attract Kenny Jackett without having a good shout at being near the top. We've improved every season by quite a large chunk since the depths of 2017. So pretty happy with things overall.

Good luck to Vale, they have floundered for a while now and deserve a crack at it this year. At the start of every year I always think they are going to be one of the competitive ones near the top but it hasn't always proved the case.

A grown man.
Its the passion we've cried for in fairness, after Askey and Aspin sat there motionless its great to see a manager wearing his heart on his sleeve. Missed it since Micky Adams and it has comedy value in that when each win passes he tells us to keep grounded its just one game don't get carried away!

Loving the AC/DC partnership to be fair, hes turned us right around and been what we've cried out for, someone who wont take crap but will change things, its chalk and cheese from Askey who really failed to push on with a good squad.

Have to context the last few years at the club where its felt very disjointed too, fans, owners, players and management haven't been having a great relationship so to see those celebrations and how its so united at the moment is huge for us regardless of how we do on the pitch.

Remember when Walsall pretended that he wasn't that good but it turns out he is amazing?

He has been for us so far... some crazy stat since Crosby came in to assist we've played 23 matches won 13 and drew 5 of those...

I dont think the issue at Walsall was DC to be honest, they've slumped since he left them and their chairman sounds a ringer for our very own dream killer, Smurf!

Agree with that re their chairman

Also worth adding that dazzler has had a lot of help from the backroom staff and flitcroft on recruitment.

But we can still poke some fun at the Walsall fans whilst we are riding the DC wave !

As on another thread… the two messages or the hundreds in support? Don’t tar us all with the same brush. The rest of us are disgusted and calling for the rightful lifetime ban.

An 18 year old has voluntarily been interviewed by police over the racial messages to Lawrence Vigouroux at the weekend. Hopefully learns his lesson.

And 'enjoys' a period at Her Majesty's leisure?

I would imagine the fact he’s handed himself over would go in his favour on that score but a life ban from Vale Park I imagine.
