what?? play him and he will score not sure what thats about.

Not aimed at you, rather the weirdos on twitter crying that we was holding him hostage.

He only got his chance due to injuries and he completely scuffed his shot but they all count.

He’s not a bad player for like our 5th choice forward

My main take from yesterday's game is that Fleetwood must have one hell of a forward line to have been able to afford to give Joe Garner away.

What an absolute bastard of a forward player. When he signed my main worry was that the aggressive edge to his game would've mellowed. Doubts about that have been totally misplaced. Wonderful.

We have actually got the 41 year old Joe Murphy back in goal now.

We signed two youngsters last season, Doohan and Hewelt, and neither of them are up to it.
I’d agree Murphy is our best keeper. Doohan had improved since last season, but it was a no-brainer when FGR came offering a decent fee for him.

You should be thankful, League 1 next season looks like it will have Devon Lad, Masi, and Carver in it.
Be glad you’re escaping it.

Oh thanks

But I'm not so sure actually, if the L1 section on here is dead I might end up going over to the other forum.
I'd be over there right now if the L2 forum on there wasn't such a ghost town..

Swan will be a big miss, DJ has a part of play and is a threat in the box but Swan is better at pretty much everything - but if you put it on a plate for DJ he will take his chance.

Ahhh, it appears after we beat Crawley earlier in the season WAGMI tweeted one of our directors said ‘Class will always beat ass‘ at the final whistle, which didnt happen. Hence the reply today, so at least some context.
Just because someone steps in the gutter before you doesn't make it any better.

The Crawley player should be utterly embarrassed.
I believe that is the same Crawley player that jumped into the crowd at Tranmere.

Looks like we found a right one here.

Knew there'd be some WAGMI related nonsense.

Great point with such a depleted squad. Bit undeserved but we battled hard for it.

Pratley is a dirty twat.
Undeserved? Its not as though Brynn was making save after save. Fully deserved in my opinion if only for the line up that we managed to put out

Yeah, that we’re winning games with the players out is impressive in itself.

Draw a fair result between us and Swindon, another frustrating second half display from us where we got a little bit lazy again and got punished - the signs were there in the first half too, a few times we got caught dallying on the ball. Think Wakelings goal was literally the only chance of the second half, neither keeper was really troubled, Although we looked the more likely to win, we struggled to break down Swindons back 5 who did play well.

Thought we badly missed Theo Archibalds energy when he went off with a knock to his knee. A bit suprsied Wellens stuck with the same team as last week too.

A rare goal from a corner for ourselves too, very good delivery from Kieran Sadlier.

We basically now need to find 3 wins/12 points from somewhere to get over the line.
Archibald going off was certainly the turning point. Very good player who murdered us at Brisbane Road last season. Good luck for the rest of the season as Richie deserves it

We shithoused our way to a 1-0 defeat. Impressive stuff. Everything about us as a club is unrecognisable at the moment. Onto the the next defeat
How long are Wagmi likley to give Lindsey considering the run of results since he took over?

Interesting question. 1 point from 7 games would put pressure on most managers and Lindsey is close to beating Betsy for the worse set of results. However, he has had just about the hardest set of fixtures you could get. Gillingham, Orient, Northampton, Stockport and Tranmere away. Plus Carlisle and Salford at home.

The difference between the pair is that Betsy was handed funds and a squad of experienced pros who just needed a few additions to maybe challenge for a play off place. Lindsey has been handed a squad with the heart ripped out of it.

Rumblings from fans but no one has heard from wagmi for a while. Even their social media stuff has gone quite when it comes to us. I think he is safe for a while.

Looks like we might be back down here next season then.

Word of advice. Never buy a keeper from Tranmere.
It`s not like you were warned. Rabbit in the headlights springs to mind when talking about Doohan.

We’re in a brilliant position. Better than I could ever have dreamed of.

That said, our run in looks horrendous. We have 12 games left which include games against Stevenage, Bradford, Northampton, Leyton Orient, Salford and Stockport. All teams around the top, we’ve already lost to 4 of them. Our record against teams around the top is poor to say the least so that is a concern. Plus on top of that we have tough looking away games against likes of Swindon, Walsall and Sutton. All games were capable of taking points from but won’t be easy. And add barrow to that if they continue their little revival.

To stand a chance of staying in the mix we will need to learn how to win more of the big games than we have been doing.
I still don’t think we’ll make the top 7, simply because I expect we’ll lose to most of the top teams and will drop points here and there in the other games. The run in is too tough and I haven’t seen enough from us this season in these types of games that make me think we’ll pick up enough points. But whatever happens now it’s been a fantastic season that has totally exceeded my expectations. An absolute million miles from the shower of shit we had at the end of last season.

Our run in looks quite favourable to most.

However next 3 are orient home, northampton away, stockport away.

where we are after those 3 will go a long way to deciding our season.

Stockport is pretty much sold out already.

Wouldn’t it be good if you got more points depending on how many away tickets you sold.

I can see another Salford drubbing in one of those, you get away with so many first team players out against Tranmere, Wimbledon, etc but Orient in particular I’ll absolutely grab a point and run away.

To be fair, your run around December/January when you amassed so many points was unbelievably favourable, I remember looking at the fixtures and it felt like you were playing Rochdale or Hartlepool every single week so I've wondered since then if you were in a slightly false position.
I would be very surprised if you dropped out of the top 7 - you're 6 points ahead of 7th/8th spot and everyone has to play everyone else so there will be lots of dropped points.

I've never understood that reasoning.

The league isn't decided on an handicap system. Three points against Arsenal equals the same as three points against the Dog & Duck. The name of the game is to beat the team sharing the pitch with you.

Look at Stevenage's and Northampton's results recently at Rochdale. Playing the weak is no guarantee of positive results, in the same way playing against the best is a guarantee of defeat.

I'm glad that we've got most of our promotion rivals to play at home. They'll be an extra edge to the games, with hopefully bigger crowds. It's a fine opportunity to personally deny them precious points rather than relying on others to do the business for us.

If it goes wrong, then it goes wrong. All that means is that we were never good enough for automatic promotion in the first place. Time will tell.

We pinched a point with a whole host of players missing. No reason you can’t.

We rejected a 'substantial' bid from a Championship club (believed to be either Luton or Rotherham) in late January for Tchamadeu. He will still be under contract but is fully expected to move on this summer. He is excellent in an attacking sense and a real athlete, but can be found wanting at times defensively.

It's easy to forget that he only recently turned 19 though as he made his debut so young, but he's definitely a real prospect.

Looking forward to Tchamadeu vs. our own young, raw, athletic fullback prospect, Jayden Sweeney. Should be a good tussle down that flank.

Pity the terms of the loan don’t allow Conor Wood to play, though

Wouldn’t be overly afraid of us at the moment. We’re just meandering towards a promotion that has seemed inevitable since October, playing a good 45 minutes here and there. Smyth and Moncur are only half-fit and Archibald went off injured at the weekend so our three main attacking threats are unlikely to start.
