Abuse Newport are looking into it and on the game we ground out a result in a game we would have lost last season not pretty like last week but effective still.Special mention for Peter Clarke absolutely immense today can't believe the bloke is 40 years old.
Yes!! flynny was verbally abused by a small section of morons and the club are taking it seriously, they will be found ,prosecuted, and banned for life, in the mean time word is they were found after the game and dealt with swiftly and painfully.
Can't say anything about the game as i wasn't there (bloody weddings) but was told we were the better of two poor teams and got mugged in a typical mike flynn away performance.

First half was poor from both sides, but I think we should Wimbledon too much respect. Much improved second half which coincided with Crawford coming into the midfield. We look toothless going forward though which is the issue. Hastie looked knackered after about 40 mins. Umerah put a good shift in up top but he was isolated and chasing shadows too often.

Improvement from last week so I’m happy, but we need to improve in the forward areas.
I'd say we showed you too much respect too. We were set up to play much deeper than the week before and the forwards never got going, apart from Assal who had a few moments of trickery but was hacked the moment he wriggled free. Two yellow cards for fouls on him today, and two in the first game. I think I see a pattern. Once you realised we were there for the 0-0 or the cheeky 1-0 smash and grab you pushed on and could/should have won. Lots of our fans not happy about the lack of ambition but before the season started I'd have taken 4 points and 2 clean sheets. We're going to have some turgid away games if this is the plan for the season though. Hartlepool didn't look at all like a side that had been spanked on the opening day but no cutting edge at the moment.

Ah, he’s getting ‘Paul Smyth-ed’. Northampton were excellent at it last season - think 3 of them took it in turns to hack Smyth down and receive a yellow card. Hopefully your lad isn’t made out of glass.

Didn’t go, but the commentary and those who did think it was an improvement on last weekend, so will let you imagine how bad that was…
I thought we had the clearer chances in open play and should have taken something from the game.

Boateng ran the midfield, but our strikers were more dangerous than theirs.

And somehow the ref missed all that. Anyway, he's 5ft 7in and 65kg. Which of your poor little shrinking violet defenders did he bully? Menayese (6ft2 & 80kg), Murray (6ft1 & 79kg) or Lacey (6ft2 & 74kg)? Made them look like Easter Island statues at times.

Sorry, are you suggesting Assal isn't a little prick? Absolute little man syndrome with that one.

He's a scrapper and a pain in the arse for defenders, no doubt. But in two games this season he's committed two fouls (no yellows) with eight fouls on him (4 yellows). Are you suggesting he somehow deserves to get properly booted in the air every 20 minutes?

He's feisty I'll give you that. However last season and no doubt this season the only way teams can stop him is by hacking him down.It happens every game.

Don't think he caused them that many problems to be honest, but he was about your only threat.

Anyway, just because they're bigger doesn't mean he isn't gonna have a dig at times as well like.

Yeah, he's no angel for sure. And he's got a mouth that gets him into trouble. But he's more sinned against than sinner many times over. I'm not whining because this is League Two and this year at the back we've got Gunther, Brown and Pearce who will do exactly the same to anyone like him.

He didn't cause that many problems agreed - we were so unadventurous on Saturday that he didn't see enough of the ball, but in flashes you saw what he can do. I was listening to your commentary while watching from 'abroad' and your guys thought he was the best player on the pitch by a long way. Not sure I totally agree with that but he's our player that every manager is going to need to a plan for to keep quiet.

I didn’t say he bullied did I?
I said said he push, shoved & grabbed players shirts, which he did,
He was pulled up twice about it,which stopped him, then he just faded out of the game.
Considering he made our defenders look like Easter Island statues as you put it,he didn’t score did he,or any of your other players for that matter.

I didn't say he deserves to be kicked in the air at all, I merely pointed out that he's a snide little shitbag. Bit like McKirdy. Good player, but a bit of a twat.
