£385 early bird?! Frickin' hell.

Both ST and MD tickets look expensive to me. No concessions either.

Concessions are under 18/senior/students. Not sure what else there would be.

Agree the prices are expensive though, we've been overpriced for ages, only the fact we have an instalment plan means that I continue to have a season ticket.

It's a difficult job for the board though, they could keep prices as they are and lose a few season ticket holders, or they could reduce the prices considerably and still lose numbers. There are added promotions this year with the prices, whether it's enough or not though, time will tell.

Cheltenham pay our Benefits
They pay our benefits.

On a serious note - relating back to match day prices, I guess that's the going rate south of ?????, perhaps Nuneaton?

What's senior, 65+?

If you're 18/19, just left school but not stayed in education, it's £21? Big jump from £7/£5.

Blimey, the Cheltenham prices are expensive, especially when compared to some teams way above where our clubs currently find themselves. I wonder if clubs, even at this level, bank on the fact that most season ticket holders will just renew regardless so they can have the same seat every season. That said, I agree with Si, it is a hard job for the board to get it exactly right but if my team had been relegated I might expect to pay a little less the following season.

Apparently, if we go back up season ticket holders will get 10% off a season ticket next season.

Paul Baker did explain the reasoning behind not reducing prices this season. Not sure I agree with him, but glad I'm not the one making the decisions.

That seems fair, at least people will be rewarded for their continuing loyalty if the team gets promoted. Mind you, there would have to be a hope that a team being promoted would sell more season tickets anyway, which might help offset the discount.

I'm pretty sure that I read somewhere that the cheapest season ticket at Man City was £299, which will be the amount they plan to charge for a seat in the new part of the stadium when it opens, for 19 games that works out at less than £16 per game. The only drawback is that you have to go to Manchester to take advantage of it!

He will thank you one day, when he realises that you have brought him up to support his local team, when many of his school-mates are plastics who only get to see their team on Sky or Match of the day!

What they dont say is that there's probably only 500-1000 seats available at that price so your very lucky to get hold of one. Then again Citeh struggle to sell out a lot of games anyway so end up putting offers on I.e. 2 for 1 on champions league games last season!

I thought £265 to sit down at Maidstone was bad......£414 at Cheltenham is ridiculous

We should hit 2,000 season ticket sales on Thursday. Exciting times! The target was 2,000 but I reckon we'll be looking at more like 2,500 sold.

£414 max for a season ticket at Whaddon Road? Crivvens and Begorrah. At least it won't be us hogging the "[NON-LEAGUE CLUB] MORE EXPENSIVE TO WATCH THAN MAN CITY" headlines when the BBC's Price of Football listings are published.

Very relieved ours have been frozen again. Slightly easier for us to justify what we charge for each year this happens.

Our prices for next season, works out about 20 quid more than I paid last year which is a bit annoying considering we're a division below. Not sure we'll be getting many new season ticket holder by charging £306 for conference football.

Presumably it'll be £17 for away fans which is a £2 increase on this year.

Probably similar to last season. Given the early bird offer doesn't expire until the end of June I'd take a guess we'll get at least double that by the time the season starts.

I haven't got round to renewing mine yet but will do by the end of this month.

£414 for a non-league season ticket? Disgusting. Even with a 10% discount next year (after a possible promotion, of course) it would be about £360 in League 2, which would still be disgusting!!
May I suggest a new award for the 2015/16 forum awards? "Biggest mistake of the season". The winner is charging £414 for a season ticket.

Still deafening silence from our club about season ticket prices for next season, which makes me worried that there will be bad news and we will see a rise, by this time last year I had already paid for mine. I agree with the above comment, £414 is a heck of a lot for Conference football, regardless of whether it comes with a possible discount for the next season.

Just to give some prospective the cheapest ST at Derby County is £419!

£414 for Non League?

or £419 for Championship Football?

Hmmm..

We're getting screwed over by Bradford City taking all the casual supporters with a ridiculous £149 for an Adult season ticket.

The distribution of money in football at the cause of it all.

The proper response is to offer £10 in if anybody turns up at the gate with their own City/Shuddersfield/whatever season ticket. This is seen to work well at clubs elsewhere when the bigger local team is playing away, and even just 1450 at the Shay has an appreciably better atmosphere than 1300.

This might be the way forward for a lot of teams, but maybe as an occasional offer rather than across a whole season otherwise you might alienate fans who have stumped up for the whole season at the full price. Isn't there a non-league day at all grounds where something like this happens already, pretty sure we do it and get fans from lots of teams attending the game. I think we might have done it during an international break, to maximise the effect.

That's the problem for me. It's a fine balance between attracting the new fans alienating the existing ones.

Indeed but we're much better at least doing it sometimes. As I say it's proven to work elsewhere and tbh alienating Town fans is like shooting fish in a barrel.

I agree with both of you, it is about striking a fine balance. By making it an occasional event you may have more people trying to take advantage, especially if it is well publicised. I am extremely happy, as a season ticket holder, for my club to try initiatives like this. If it brings in new supporters, even if it is just enough to encourage people to become occasional fans, that has to be a good thing. That is probably how most of us started out before we really were hooked for good.
