If we've shifted 3000 STs at average price of say £250 then that's a decent chunk of our wagebill covered before POTD and the hospitality which is open every day pretty much and is our most profitable area of the business so to speak.

Our wage bill will definitely be higher now than those initial forecasts, I'd heard we'd cut last seasons £1.3m by 20% but no way have we done that now in my opinion with the Tshimanga signing.

Do you get a decent return for corporate and hospitality revenue over a season? id imagine that you'd have a healthier amount of that sort of income than most clubs down here as you have a much newer stadium?

Not having a pop but are the wages of the likes of Rowe, Tshimanga, Payne, Oyeleke, Khan, Clarke, Miller, King, Asante and Loach seriously going to be based on an average expected attendance of 3,500?
I'm only repeating what the club told us on their latest (admittedly a while back) communication to fans re. budget.

You've got to remember we still had legacy league 2 contracts in place when they bought the club and I'd imagine none of the players brought in are on as much as those players were.

That being said - whether the 3,500 forecast is now 4,000 + hospitality... who knows?

Didn’t Chesterfield max that government Covid loan out as well? Terms on it were amazing, to be fair.

I think in recent years it's been the only part that's turned a profit. There's always stuff going on and it's always busy when there is so think we make some good coin out of it. Can't remember the figures but it should go from strength to strength under the new owners.

I don't know if their was a max but no repayment for 5 years, and 4% over 20 years after that was staggering really.

Wasn't it a 4 year payment holiday followed by circa 20 years of low interest repayments? Or something like that?

I'm amazed more clubs didn't go for it.

Indeed. I’m equally surprised that ‘not dropping six figures on a striker within a couple of months’ wasn’t in the terms of getting it but hey, that’s not your problem.

It's in their best interests if they want it paying back on time that we have a successful team :D

According to the club shop we have now sold over 6000 ST not sure when they will stop selling them as they are still selling well.

Where were these fans the last 10 years, glory hunters. Can always work against you if you start losing in a match, Stockport can vouch for that after Saturday with the moaning louder than the chants.

I think that attendance was more to do with who you were playing in that final though, most teams attendances rocket up when they come up against the big boys. :bdick:
