4,000 for Wimbledon is really good!

But how many nft's have you sold?

I know you're all going to take the piss but Crawley are doing OK (for us). We have sold 400 in the first week. Which is up on last season at the same stage.

I am hoping to get close to a thousand season tickets this season. As we are a small club with lots of shift workers around here we normally have just under 1/3 of our home support made up of season ticket holders.

Casey

Ps: I have no idea how many nft's we have sold.

It’s a jpeg of something that someone doesn’t own who then sells it to someone else so they can prove they don’t own it too.

(I think)

Wimbledon's supporter base has grown basically because we are now playing back in Wimbledon after being away for 30 year's. That and having a new stadium has attracted new fans. Playing 5 miles up the road in Kingston in what was basically a non league ground with less than a 5,000 capacity was not ideal.

Some good income from that, I know some like to mock our price on here but if you halved the number and doubled the price it would still be 7k at £400. Should give us a good budget to go at with.

A decent season should see us average 16,000-18,000+.

4,500 sold for us, if we can edge to 5'000 it'd very good for us. I think that exceeds what we used to get in the Championship/Div 1 in the late 90's/early 00's.

They seem up across the board, last season too. More people into football? More people disengaged from watching the Premier League on the telly? I think the Covid break inspired people but I would have thought that element would have worn off a bit now with us having had a full season back with 100% capacities.

I see little mocking the price, Bradford are in a unique situation especially for a L2 side to sell cheap but also sell a lot and I think it’s a good thing. The mocking is generally aimed at those Bradford fans that take a little too much enjoyment out of shouting the numbers about and spaffing on the ceiling.

My ST is once again £325 for a great seat near the top of our main stand, but this season the club made the Quarry end lane behind the goal £245 with the early bird and it’s part of the reason why our sales have gone so well so far.

Some of our fans used to do that but most have cooled their jets with that sort of nonsense tbf, maybe if we started doing well again the brags would start but we’ve been slapped down and humbled these last 4 years to brag about anything.

Very good pricing, I think I saw Rochdale as well with a fantastic early bird offer, then you have Harrogate which when you consider the venue and with them being so close to Leeds, Bradford and even York you have to wonder why anyone would bother, if they do that is!

Why buy a season ticket, when they’re being given away on Facebook?

Local business trying to cash in on the wave of optimism. Fair play to that travel agents as nearly 1000 people have entered that.

We've just sneaked over 4000 with 4 weeks of our discount period left and a payday for most next week. Might get close to that 5k. Never know us to shift more than 3.4k

From this thread it seems like most clubs are in the black on season ticket sales vs last season (or is it just the clubs with supporters on this forum?). I'm getting the same vibe on the EFL1 board. I wonder what is driving the increase? It's not like most people have spare money burning a hole in their pocket right now...

We've sold 4,800 season tickets to the Dream Factory next season, deadline for early birds is 10am tomorrow so the 5k mark is tantalisingly close

We've gone above 5'000 which is very good considering we're generally a walk up type of club. I haven't got one for example. Obviously below Bradford, almost certainly below Swindon. In the mix with Tranmere and maybe Doncaster (how many do they get?) for the top 5 average attedances. Depends how well clubs are doing, teams like Grimsby are selling well, if they're up there, they'll be similar to us.

We are on about 4,500. We've not got a great history with Season Ticket sales, but walk ups tend to be good meaning our average home attendance was about 9,500 last season I think.

Yeah that was what I was going off to see where abouts we'd be placed. Your ground also has more scope and capacity than ours if you're doing well so I have you and Bradford as to be the only real certs to be above us.

A lot depends on what happens on the pitch though, same for every club, for example I always think someone like Carlisle can suddenly start rolling through the gates if they were to be up there.

5'000 is easily our best ST sales since our 2nd tier days late 90's/early 00's. In fact, I think it's higher.

Bradford's crowds are in a different league to anyone else, that much is obvious and evident.

I think we have the second biggest ground in the league* and so if we have as good if not better season than last then I'd put us *quickly checks table to remind me who is in this league* just ahead of teams like Tranmere, Donny, Stockport maybe Wimbledon etc. (i've probably forgotten some teams so please don't take offence if I have)

*Actually funny you should mention Carlisle, I just checked and their capacity is nearly 18,000! Is that right?

Doncaster, Gillingham and Tranmere generally average 6,000-6,500 when down here.

Walsall, typically average around 5,000 - although I expect them to have a decent season, so can see them averaging 6,000+.

As with all clubs, attendances are based on performance. If we’re doing well, competing for the title/promotion, we’ll average 18k+ - with a few bumper 20,000+‘S. Another disappointing season and it’ll be as per last season, 15k ish.

Slightly off-topic, but I’m gutted I’m working the 7th Jan - Stockport away. Have to throw a sickie.

One of the lads on our messageboard has worked out that the 7th Jan is 3rd round FA Cup weekend so if at least one of us makes it that far it'll probably end up on a Tuesday night if that could be any better?

And this is why I was glad to see you and Grimsby promoted back to the football league, instead of the likes of Solihull and Borehamwood.

Proper old school clubs with great followings to generate good atmospheres

We’ve already sold more than last year, but I don’t actually know what last seasons total was. I imagine it would be well in excess of Bradford’s 15 million though

you’ll still beat them, don’t worry!

Gillingham averaged virtually 5000 on the nose last season and that's with away support from Charlton, Portsmouth, Wednesday, Sunderland, Ipswich and that followimg from Rovrum on the last day. They'll only average 6000 if they're in the top 3 all year. Last time they were relegated to this decision and finished 8th they averaged 5200.

… and the season after they averaged 6,601.

Their third previous promotion from this league saw them average 7,198.

We’re talking about 1,000 fans on average here or there, but your pedantic behaviour is excused.
