You'd have to make 22 out of the 23 home games to be better off buying the season ticket

Do they not give you money back off next seasons? At Lincoln any unused tickets get you a small discount off a renewal, so if you miss 4 games you get £12 or so off.

Nope - if you can't make it then you've lost out

£3 for concessions, £5 for adults.

My renewal was embarrassing this year.

Will Kiddy not use the South Terrace for away fans this year? Or will segregation only be used where necessary?

National League North new boys Salford have announced theirs and they put ours to shame!

http://www.pitchero.com/clubs/salfo...icket-details-admission-price-de-1617843.html

Adults £7
Concessions £3
Under 5 Free (National League Games only)

It's an interesting one. Salford have to grow a fan Base from historically not a lot. The low prices and Co92 fan girls will give them decent crowds for now. But if they're not paying much to watch, then they will have to be heavily subsidised. The real tests will come later on. If they can maintain increased crowds when the prices go up to market rate. Teams like Crawley and Fleetwood have had success moving through the leagues but neither has managed to bring in big average crowds along the way. Maybe it won't matter and the owners will happily subsidise for years to come. But it's a very risky game.

Yeah, I think the south terrace will only be used when necessary. That's how it has been most of this season to be honest. There hasn't been any word about segregation. This season we've always had it and the away fans have always had one end of the East stand and bigger crowds also get the terrace.

I have just received confirmation that our season ticket prices are the same as last season, with an early bird deal for the home terrace. Included in the the season ticket price is Club Membership, which gives discounts on things like matchday travel, and free entry to our home friendlies against Cardiff and Birmingham.

We've sold 850/900 in our Early Bird period - which is not far off double the last two seasons.

Would imagine ours are similar as we had sold over 700 before the first deadline was extended a couple of weeks ago but not had official confirmation since then. It's about 70% better for us than at the same stage last pre season.

Yeh, I wouldn't expect we'll sell many now the early bird is done but I don't think the club expected to sell as many as they have done!

It could have been even more but I imagine some people are holding back due to the uncertainty of the takeover... :pond:

Probably a good thing though as you don't want too many people getting in with the cheaper season ticket deal, especially if they are regular attendees anyway. I hope we can push on this season and get crowds back in the 2000s at the very least. With Nicholson working magic, the price reduction and (hopefully at least) some winning football on offer, we have a lot of scope for improvement.

We've gone for a 200 season ticket (down from 319) with an aim of 1700 season tickets sold - no way I can see it happening mind. Under 12's a free season ticket and 12-17 a 79 (I think) season ticket.

Pay on the day as 15 for standing and 16 for seating.

Very very different approach for us this season, be interesting to see how it works out.

1700? Wasn't your overall average home attendance around 1500 last season? If so 1700 sounds ambitious and unlikely as you say. Playing in a lower league obviously won't help even if the lower rate will.

SS - What is the idea behind that, is it purely to try and increase the gate, or will the price be linked directly to the number of people who buy one? What I mean there is a sliding price scale, more sold, cheaper the price.

We've also had £200 ST's in our Early bird - they go back up to £300+ as of 4.30 today!

Gulli, I'd expect us to averaging around 2,000/2,200 this year unless everything goes incredibly well with the takeover and they let us spend a ton, which seems extremely unlikely. Hoping for a top half finish - Nicho is doing a fabulous job in the circumstances.

It's hugely ambitious - no way we'll get more than 1000 IMO, but I get the feeling that the club are sinking the £75000 or so winnings from the Trophy in to this. The hope being that even if we don't meet the target, our core attendance paying £2 more on the gate than last time we were in Conference North will make up for it.

For ease of calculation I'll ignore concessions

Last time in Conf North we had 1600 x 13 x 21 = 436800
This time if we do really well and sell say 800 season tickets: 160,000

Then add on top of that on the low side estimate of on the gate: 600 at 15.50 a pop (averaging seating and standing): 600 x 15.50 x 21 = 195300
Totalling: 355,300. Which is 80k less than last time (when we made a profit).

So on a very simplified view it should work ok for us, especially as that's ignoring the fact there's no concession season ticket - it's 200 for all adults.

Yeah just a gate thing to take advantage of the 10,000 at Wembley - if it converts 100 or 200 long term it'll have worked, especially with the fairly limited risk of it. No sliding scale - just a set price.

I think we've sold 500-600 so far. Slow going so far probably because they went on sale late and are a fair bit pricier than last year.

I've not seen these posted yet, but they've been out for a while. Here's ours for the coming season. Yes, it IS possible to buy a £1000+ season ticket in non-league, and it's also possible to buy a £30 season ticket...

SS - That seems like a sensible approach to trying to increase attendances, whilst at the same time rewarding your current supporters. If you make a decent start to the season, which given that you almost avoided relegation in the last one isn't beyond the realms of possibility, then you may even beat the figure that you are hoping for...but it is a big "if".

We've sold 474 after Early Bird and it's only 5 down form last year so not bad considering.

Ours have been announced at £9/£6, which puts them at joint most expensive in Northern Premier Division One South, along with Belper. Whilst it was voted on, the vote was right down the middle, and I do genuinely feel that this is a mistake unless we're going for the title/promotion, (and in fairness, where the going rate seems to be £8/£7, that's only fair). It doesn't feel like we're looking at a long term strategy to regrow the fanbase.

Spot on.

I missed the announcements for voting, but my generalised opinion on it has always been to keep it low. The people who will buy their season tickets at £8 a game (as per last season) will buy them at £9 a game. It's not putting off many. It's the floating fans, the ones who aren't members yet and don't have a vote that we need to encourage to come regularly to grow the fanbase IMO. While we needed to get out of the UCL, I don't think we need to push too hard for promotion at this level - I'd rather take a few years if we can increase the attendance across these years.

It's a double problem though because it's much harder to do without good facilities, and we need money to get better facilities - or hope to get lucky with a local developer needing help for a project. I fear fans are voting for an increased budget to get promotion now through the ticket prices and selling out future gains as a result.

I suspect that we may have seen a very different result had we stayed in the Southern League Central, with the possibility of some who votedgoing for the higher admission to pay for a bigger budget so we can get back into the Southern League. But how many others such as yourself missed the announcement who would have voted for the lower price missed the vote? There hasn't been a great deal of debate as in earlier years.

Your point about the floating fan is in line with my thoughts. As we approach the point where we're at the likes of Kettering, Corby and even St Neots, we've got to bear in mind that we're competing with them for new fans, and will need to think of creative ways off the pitch to compete as well. I wonder if we should even go as far as to allow adults in on a concession rate if they bring an under 16 with them and/or explore the possibility of a family season ticket that the likes of Basford offer (I'm not suggesting as low as £10 like they offer).

I'm of the view that we will never raise enough through the gate to get our own ground, it will only happen through some VERY good FA Cup runs, or as you say through a developer needing to provide facilities for the local community. For the latter, increasing the average gate the way to go to present the case to local authorities why we should be considered. It also makes the club a more attractive proposition for local sponsors and businesses, generating more secondary income.

I do wonder if we should do what Darlington have done and approach the rugby club regarding a ground share, then maintain and improve the facilities jointly, assuming there is enough land for the community teams, unless we go the route of having a 3G pitch like Maidstone and Sutton.

the club are sinking the £75000 or so winnings from the Trophy in to this.

It's a practically risk free offer - if they meet the target, the budget is covered, if they don't the pay on the gate charges will cover most of the shortfall as it's not a case of "I'll buy a season ticket or I won't bother coming". It's not like we're going to lose 500 fans because we got relegated, I mean, we dropped 3 divisions and the only reduction was the loss of 200 away fans because Mickey Mouse clubs only bring 30 to 40 or so with them to The Shay, even though it's their cup final, e.g. Stepford Whores FC. :£:£:£

So we hit over 1,000 sold by Friday's deadline. Funny what a few months of winning can do, eh!?
