Can't blame Hodgson for this performance, just a shocking lack of composure and quality from players that should be doing way better.

60 chances in 3 games equating to just 3 goals...

I think this is where the premier league lets us down. You hardly ever get teams putting 10 men behind the ball apart from maybe a Pullis team. Everyone tries to have a go.

England just can't break down teams that put everyone behind the ball.

We have an attack that is nowhere near on a wavelength.
That's not helped by Roy picking teams out of a hat.

Yeah, the whole 'domination' thing is pissing me the fuck off. It means absolutely FA if you don't put the ball in the back of the net FFS.

It's funny leading up to the Euro's the talk was all about how we had great options upfront and our biggest problem so far has been finsihing.

A clone of the Russia game except we didn't throw away what we'd earned in the dying minutes...

...improvement?

Fair play to Wales. We may have beaten them last minute, but they no doubt deserve to win the group purely due to beating two teams we couldn't. And in one of them convincingly.

Fucking annoying being an England fan. How's it possible to have so much attacking talent and be so utterly fucking hopeless at finding the net? Again.

Anyway, for what it's worth, Clyne MOTM for me.

1 shot on target isn't good really considering the amount of ball we had..

2nd place so potentially Portugal or Hungary who will be as defensive..

That's got to be the most frustrating game to watch I've ever seen, and there's plenty to choose from

Proved to be as much tosh as I knew it was when people were spouting it. Irrespective of the player by player comparison you don't make 6 changes in a major tournament unless you're at crisis point.

We have absolutely fuck all momentum moving into the KO stages.

Wales haven't been playing against parked buses to be fair.

As I say, we can have all the ball we like but with attacking combinations that haven't a clue who one another are the creativity is a struggle. Thats because we've strung this side together at the last minute before this tournament. A squad and formation totally at odds wih each other. And haven't even attempted to get any consistent selection together in recent months. Cos Roy hasn't a clue what our best side is.

I thought we looked better before Alli, Rooney and Kane came on.

That was 90 minutes of utter dross. Sick and tired of hearing how England have dominated a match - 1 shot on target against Slovakia is awful.

We lacked urgency and any sort of tempo (summed up by us playing backwards passes with the clock ticking down) and had no clue how to break Slovakia down.

Only players who deserve any credit after that are Clyne and Dier, I wouldn't have the rest in Vale's squad

No doubt people will be saying it was a tough group to get out of.:bg::bg:

Don't worry we'll play someone decent and the pain will be over for another 2 years.

can you claim to be dominant when you create fuck all? england may have had a lot of possession over these 3 games but the majority of it has been utterly fucking pointless.

we're in a group with wales, slovakia and russia and we won one game. defend that pls.

It's a failure not to win that group but the damage was done against Russia. Slovakia were only ever going to come for a point and try fact Joe Hart took a goal kick with the side of his foot to Dier who was straight away in the final third says it all.

The only thing I'd blame Roy for is the way he played Sturridge, he should be right upfront.

We'll beat the runner up of group F and this game will be forgotten.

Didn't mind that as much as some of you. We played well but lacked a cutting edge against a side that didn't want to come forward. It happens. At least this time we didn't make any fucking woeful defensive mistakes like the first two games. I think Vardy was kept on instead of Sturridge purely because he plays the furthest forward, though there's no reason Sturridge couldn't have moved into his position and Vardy gone off. But I don'tthink it'd have mattered either way. Slovakia have gambled on 4 points and their gd being enough. We're through, don't care who we get.
I think Henderson will have played himself out of the side. He gets about a lot, puts in a decent shift but his delivery is shite all too often.
Wilshere wasn't great but I think he needed to play in a more advanced role.

Set pieces have been shite for everyone this tournament. We should be more of a threat. Getting a corner doesn't really seem like much of a positive.
