Out of interest, how so?
Liverpool may have got lucky with one or two decisions, but the Sterling swipe was a penalty as well, it evened out![]()
Well aside from paying him handsomely for his services (he was among the highest earners in the Championship when we got promoted), he struggled as a kid. Our physio's picked up on his irregular heartbeat and Saints paid for the surgery to have it corrected.
Pellè has been pretty shit for a while now. It was clear Southampton needed a goal-scorer in the window and they failed to get one. Long won't get you many goals. Coming back to haunt them now.
Neither am I, but if they get a win midweek against Barca (big ask I know) then they may be half concentrating on the second leg of that tie which could work in Liverpool's favour. We're the only team in the top flight not to have lost this year so far. And we have taken 23 points from a possible 27. Hopefully we can keep it up but we have a few shit fixtures coming up. I'm not confident about City next weekend.
No mention of Lallana/Lovren/Lambert in So'ton's matchday programme yesterday, very poor indeed :

No... Rodgers was just being all "myeeehhhh".Apparently Liverpool have brought in a new defensive coach. Speaks volumes as to why we're keeping clean sheets.
