A new division for us after a few years at Step 4, albeit only one season actually completed in that time. Travelling is noticeably better, with a lot more local(ish) fixtures like Stamford, Wisbech, Spalding, Histon etc. and only a few awkward trips to the West Midlands compared to all the trips to Oxfordshire in the past few seasons.

However, it looks on paper like a much more competitive league, so with our small (for Step 4) budget I expect the initial aim to be survival again, despite being on the fringes of the play-off places when the 2019/20 season was canned.

Would you mind being ever so kind and pointing out where Bury and Macc are on that as it's frying my brain a little bit?
Macc Town will be in the North West Counties Premier Division and Bury will be in the North West Counties North Division.

Are they going to stay there if you get promoted and have to rip up the 3G, or have they got other plans in place for if that happens?

They’ve said they are planning on being at Gander Green Lane next season and it seems their application was based on playing at Gander Green Lane.

Pheonix clubs can re-start at step 5, in case anyone is wondering. Bury AFC aren't a phoenix club since the old one still technically exists (or did at the time of application), thus they could only join at step 6

NWCL fixtures are out and we host Burscough in our first ever competitive game on 31st July, followed by a short trip to Winsford. They're even letting us play in the FA Cup this season which is a nice surprise.

Fixtures for two of the three Step 3/4 leagues have released today, the Southern League saving their fixture release until Friday for whatever reason.

We start our season on the 14th of August with a visit to newly-promoted Sporting Khalsa, and end the season with an away trip to Sutton Coldfield Town.

I do think the leagues would have been wise to frontload fixtures more after all the issues that have arisen the past couple of incompleted seasons (and that are already cropping up again now even if we're only in pre-season), but they've obviously chosen not to do that which is unfortunate.
