I think Souness is right with what he just said there. Milner and Henderson are both good, hard-working midfielders but they don't really offer the passing range or creativity that you would like to have from at least one of your centre mids. It is a strange midfield pairing, particularly in a 4231.
We have been a lot better in the second half so far imho.
It would be great to for Benteke to score a winner, but I think the match will end 0-0 sadly.
Low quality match. Stoke had the better of the chances, with three or four decent ones, but Liverpool sneak a late winner. Stoke really only have themselves to blame for wasting the chances they did get though - Liverpool were efficient enough to take the one they did get - and even then it was more of a half chance.
3 points isn't all that matters though. It's clear from watching that that Rodgers hasn't identified a way to get Benteke in the game properly. He was feeding off of scraps. Crap scraps. Lallana was shite. Firminho should start. Gomez played well but had a few shaky moments, Clyne played well. Can should start. Although Milner isn't really a winger, you probably need to start using him as one because the crossing was abysmal from others. Ibe disappointed too.
