To the people looking from the outside it looks an odd decision to sack him but he just didn't have the tools to move us on to where our chairman wants to be. ....
Calling Chansiri a crackpot because he's tried to change our ethos and has spent money on the aesthetics is frankly insulting.

Chansiri's no different from 30 other wannabe PL owners who don't appreciate just how much it takes across the entire spectrum to get a club into the PL and keep them there. I'd class Morgan in the same league as well, and most PL owners too. I reckon most think.....I'll spend what I can to get them there and then the PL Bonus Ball Lucky Millions will keep us there. Reality is that the transfer merry-go-round quickly robs even good PL teams of their best players. And then the PL money quickly vanishes into Bentleys, yachts, watches and new stands. Where are Wigan, Fulham now?

The one difference I can see is when someone appointments of one of the very, very few genius managers. I'd class Eddie Howe as one of those (maybe to the ridicule of some). If Chansiri's got real balls and real money then he would pony up some real dosh and pull a manager out of the PL to manage a club of your size. Money talks. Same applies for Derby (maybe that's effectively what they've just done), Forest and Leeds. Maybe us too.

Oh, is there another Bournemouth?
Their net spend was quite low.... Wilson, Rangie and Ritchie are the only ones I could name that they splashed out on but even that was covered by the Lallana monies.

I only know of one in Rotherham, but I'm not a Coffee Drinker. Just don't enjoy the taste! I'd certainly not be drinking Coffee in Bristol. Now that is a good Night out. The game we got called off just before Christmas a few years back at Ashton gate, turned out to be a wonderful day/night drinking.
And The Last Waltz, i don't know SERNWA outside of this Forum.
I'm pretty sure we were playing Rovers ☺

Just wait until Bournemouth's wages bill for 2014/15 is announced - it will be astronomical by championship standards.

Bournemouth's wage bill for the 2013/14 season was £17 million on a turnover of only £10 million - there's a loss of £7 million for starters.

Bournemouth finished 10th in 13/14 while Burnley's wage bill was just £15 million (the 14th highest in the championship) and they finished 2nd.

I'm looking forward to learning what Derby's wage bill will be next season with Bent, Pearce, Carson and probably Ince all joining since last season. And people like Bryson signed a 5-year deal worth £20,000-a-week last summer.

Matt Ritchie is on quite the 'wedge'. Zigic would be proud.

Bit unfair that. The Rotherham fans here and on TFF before are a decent bunch. Important not to confuse their banter with the nasty, vicious trolling from SERNWA, who could have just as much been from Bristol or Wolves.
Fair enough, I apologise.

It's expensive to live in Bournemouth though.

In Burnley you can buy 6 pints, 2 shots of sambuca & a three-piece settee and still get change from a tenner.

It's all relative, especially in Burnley....

Incest is popular in Bournemouth too, though. All relative.

I'm glad you're back, Lancy! I can't wait to hear how much Darren Bent is earning, but I think you'll excel yourself once more if we sign Shackell.

50k-a-week and a four year deal is what I'm hearing - what about you? :animatedf:

Carlos carvhal set to be appointed head coach, seems like we're bringing in mark cooper as part of the staff aswell, not sure how were selling that to him if he's not going to be head coach?

Hockaday now in the running to replace Mark Cooper (if he goes).

He must have a good agent!

Can't say I was surprised when this was announced, he did a steady/good job with the tools he had, but the fact we were so poor at home and lacked any form of goal threat for 90% of the season means some Wednesday fans wont be too arsed. I think he deserved a chance to bring in the attacking players required as he definitely sorted the defensive side out.

If Carvalhal is appointed as Gray's replacement I'll be massively underwhelmed, complete car crash of a CV. Would probably be more open to Mark Cooper but again wouldn't be my first choice, and from the sounds of it he'd need to bring his entire team with him as he doesn't do all the work regarding tactics and team selection.

What about if you have both ;)

Carvalhal as MD & Cooper as head coach?

I hope we don't appoint either to be honest, don't think they'd be what we want at the minute. Making the decision to get rid of Gray look daft.

That's what Burnley offered him last summer....so he went back to Derby and got himself a new deal on LESS than £20k?:bg:

Or he just didn't want to go 30 years back in time to live in Burnley.

We were dire at Hillsborough last season, anybody that can defend Gray's tactics at home last season must have been watching something different to me. Did Gray do ok under the circumstances? Yes, would he take us to the next level? No. I for one have no problem with what is going on at Hillsborough and im not going to sit here and say that Cooper/Carvahal is the wrong way to go because in reality, nobody really knows what the plan is, judge it when you see the product on the pitch, which is all Chansiri has done with what he saw last season

Hs this still not been confirmed? Seemed all but announced a week ago, maybe your board are listening to the fans suggesting this would be a bizarre, if not bad, move!?
