A woman I knew is running for my old uni's SU President role. She released her campaign video yesterday. Really quite impressive.

:fl: How have I only just seen this, amazing. I'm fairly certain I know one of the people in that video too.. (friend of a friend).

Would have been funny if someone had come out of the Attenborough building and photobombed them during that main dance part.

On a 64 after first semester of my MSc. Only a quarter of the overall mark though. Does mean I can choose between a dissertation and a more taught based summer project which has more contact hours. Considering I have nowhere to live past the end of June, hopefully the diss will mean I can more or less go home and do the majority of it there.

Second PGCE interview tomorrow, this one at Marjon. Got to teach a group something in 10 minutes - going to teach the offside rule :woot:

Unsuccessful. So I sit through 3 years of mundane shit about education, then they don't give us the chance to actually progress. Excellent uni.

I know a couple of people who applied for schools direct, only to be told they weren't experienced enough. While I have a bit more experience than them, it doesn't match up to people who've been working in school for years, as I found at Exeter.

Life evaluation needed :woot:

You should still try. I only had experience at one school and I didn't really get any further than leading small groups, but was still fortunate enough to be offered a place on a PGCE.

Currently writing a 3,000 word essay on Reaganism, due in tomorrow. How was this guy president of the United States? He was a dimwit!

What program are you using? Over here in the US I have used ProE and Solidworks.

I know we have our differences from the football side of things but I just wanted to say that I wish you no luck.

If MK play Norwich City next year in the championship I'll go and support Norwich, you can support the scum and we can have a pint after the game. :sur:

Went back to uni yesterday for our old boys rugby match. Great day/night but did feel noticeably older than the current mob and I only graduated in 2013!

What course at Loughborough?! You could follow in the footsteps of the great Mr R. Bish by graduating through the Business School there.

Are most people in a pickle with their dissertation a month or two before hand-in? Can imagine that the week before hand-in date is going to consist of a few late nights. I am only just coming up to the end of my second chapter, and I have another two big ones to do, plus an introduction, conclusion, abstract etc. I know I will be okay, I always get there. Just seems like there's loads to do.

Did alrate on my Reagan essay, got 64 overall. The assessment was in two pieces, you also had to do a 1,000 word essay on a topic of your choice that was related to American politics and society. I did the presidents, the supreme courts and its rulings on race since 1968 for the shorter piece. Didn't do that greatly on the 1,000 word one and it dragged my grade down. Never have done well at short essays.

Depends what you want to spend and if you want to be directly on campus or not? Also if you want an ensuite or not?
What are the Ziggarats like? I am willing to spend the top price probably, but if the Ziggarats or however you spell them are decent enough I will go for them and save the cash.

I don't actually know anyone that stays in them! But they're ok from what I've heard, just a bit of a pain if you're drunk on a night out. I'll message you mate.

I'm just about half way through mine 4500/9 (-12). Next couple of weeks will be tough but should get through it fairly comfortable for my deadline a month today.
