Bottom line, Swindon are a very very good side, we played chase ball without our keeper ever seriously making decent saves, a point was excellent and we gave a good account especially prior to their second goal. Uche needed a calm down pill at half time and was an idiot though at 19 he will learn. Whatever the whys and wherefors of the penalty you play to the whistle at all times, again maybe inexperience. For an Oldham fan to tar us all with the brush we are all knobs and biased beggars belief. Just as a side thing a Swindon fan on Radio Wiltshire compared the atmosphere to a library which i found surprising really as it seemed ok to me given the fact it was a tempestuous affair at times.

Why? That's not in the rules. The ref only has to stop the game if it's a head injury. Clearly in this instance he (rightly) assumed that the lad was time wasting and felt it better that the lad wait till the final whistle (a mere few seconds away) to get 'treatment' on his 'injury'.

The game had already stopped so the ref should've checked on the player and seen if he needed a physio.

No. You're wrong.

The referee only has to stop the game if it's a head injury, that bit is right. But once the ball goes out of play, he has to check on the injured player to make sure he is not seriously injured. The game CAN NOT restart if there is an injured (or even supposedly injured) player led out on the pitch. The corner shouldn't have been taken.

Anyway, this thread is boring the fuck out of me, as it usually does when Vale fans can't see any point of view but their own.
