This Friday sees the Robins take on the the Latics live on Sky, 5.30 pm kick off. With Wigan giving their fans free coach travel to the CG and being a bank holiday, Wigan will have over a 1000 fans traveling, the most i think they have brought to the CG.
Wigan, in my humble opinion, are shoe in's for a promotion spot with Will Grigg their leading scorer with 15 goals, also in the side is Max Power, great name, could he be a Stan Lee marvel hero.
Swindon will give them a hard fight, and could easily concede an early goal, that being our usual practice, but they will play to the end and win it in injury time with Jon Obika getting the winner.
Should be a decent crowd, even tho its being televised, maybe pushing 10500 mark.

Is this at the County Ground or is the Diving contest to be held at a nearby Olympic sized Swimming pool?

*This post may or may not be a little sarcastic

Nothing to lose now. Players will either be up for it with no pressure on or performances will start to drop off a little bit towards the end of the season. Hopefully the former as I think it's important to end the campaign strongly.

I'll go for a 2-1 win and 8 unbeaten.

Wigan win please. We won't get top 2 and I'd prefer not to play them in the play-offs.

That's what I like to see , fans agreeing with each other, brings a glow to me old heart!!!
Just seeing a pikey asking for "Swindon win please" should bring a glow to your old heart!

Never thought I would hear myself say it.

I'm going for a lie down.

Aren't Swindon one of the several clubs who think they still have a chance of the play-offs?

A wee sniff, yes. But there's no margin for error. Both yourselves and Barnsley seem beset by multiple injuries - just as we were earlier in the season.

Maybe there's 2 play off spots up for grabs!

Potentially but we'd probably have to win 8 out of 10 games to give us 74 points. Could be a lower total required of course but that's the sort of ballpark we're looking at. Very unlikely we'll overtake 8 teams. Top 10 is realistic and would be an achievement considering how much of a shambles the first half of this season was. Think most Town fans are eyeing up next season as one where we could have another tilt at the top 6.

We have been, but we've used the loan market well enough to bring in Oshilaja and Crofts. Jackson came back from injury on saturday, and Dack, Egan and McDonald should all be back within the next couple of weeks. Think it's only Loft who's out til the summer now.

The County Ground is one of few grounds that we've never won at. Lost the last 3 I believe, long over due a win here, let's hope that run ends, just like Bradfords hoodoo over us ended on Saturday.

Another home game I miss (worst value season ticket for me ever) but think Wigan will win easily.

1-3 and Grigg to score at some time.

Have you ever predicted a Town win or are you into reverse psychology?

With Swindon's open attacking style of play, I can see this being a high scoring game and an away win for Wigan with all the firepower they have.

Wouldn't be surprised if it's a 3-5 job or something like that.

You only need a little bit of conviction and killer instinct when you're up against a side so brittle when put under the cosh. Swindon's response to the goal has been pathetic.
