 it's an obsession because I said 1,000 is a poor following? I'd imagine that would be the lowest following in this league on the opening day, surely for a team who has 18,000 home fans you should be selling it out? Or are my suspicions correct again, that at least half of the 18,000 don't actually support Bradford City and are just there for cheap football. Think we have another Wigan scenario on our hands.

Kid, do us a favour. You got banned for been a twat, you still are and also on Twitter with another stupid name, like villa care about you. This is about Swindon v city not the city that plays in a rugby ground with two men and a shite donkey at CB.
Shouldn't you be doing some kind of work during these 6 weeks off school?

Not in the car park adjacent to the ground - £10 and takes ages to get away.

Depending on what time you arrive the Merlin pub car park is free and a 5 min stroll to the ground. The fire station right by the ground charge a fiver.

Numerous side streets although a lot of it is resident's parking.

Even the multi storeys in town are only 10-15 min walk

That Twitter account isn't me, I have already posted my Twitter. I have just checked that Twitter account and he's right. Bradford City would be most well known to a neutral for a fire, unfortunately. Call me a c*** I don't care, its true and you know it. No, I'm 31 so I don't go to school, feel free to follow me on Twitter though if you want to keep throwing weird accusations around with no proof.

Pretty sure we got worldwide attention from 'neutrals' for reaching the League Cup final as a L2 side only two years back and then again for that win at Stamford Bridge last season. I'm not going to call you any names, apart from perhaps 'Mr Inaccurate'.

Can we please keep this to the match thread? (not blaming Bantams fans here btw)

Having been to pre-season games against Everton and Liverpool two weeks apart I must say I am more confident walking out of the CG yesterday, than I was 2 weeks ago. We have signed Jordan Turnbull on a season long loan from Southampton who was excellent yesterday and most of last season, and the kid from Liverpool, Williams looks a comfortable centre back also, an area I was very concerned about.

We appear to be playing 4-3-3 this season with Nathan Thompson RB which means Nathan Byrne will be playing a much more attacking role this season, which is good bearing in mind his lack of tracking back to cover.

In midfield we have signed Florian Robert who looks an exciting number 10 and if he can link up well with Kasim in midfield we could have a very creative midfield this season. Drissa Traore looks handy also, but went off with an injury yesterday. We also have Stewart on loan from Liverpool who looks a good player and if we can get Ryan Kent in also, we have a good chance of troubling the play-offs again this season.

Up front is where we are a little light, John Obika shows moments of class, his finish yesterday was superb. Andy Williams has left and Michael Smith's head seems elsewhere so we only really have Obika and young Hylton, who offers something different.

As for Saturday, I have been impressed with Bradford's signings and I expect them to be battling towards the top end of the table this season in a very competitive league. I don't know a lot about him but Paul Anderson seems like a canny purchase and Hanson up front is always a handful. I think it'll be a good game, and a 1-1 draw.

Unfortunately I can't make the match so hope the travelling bantams have a safe journey and enjoy the game (but not too much)!!

Yep apologies for going off topic, think 1-1 is a realistic prediction and is a result I'd take to be honest.

Our recruitment is still ongoing - appears we may well be getting Jaaskelainen and a CB in before the weekend (various rumours as to who - Goldson mentioned but highly highly unlikely, Beevers from Millwall also mentioned and is perhaps more realistic?). Many of us would still like to get a pacy striker in but not heard anything on that front.

Don't know if any of the above, if signed, would go straight into the team - though I do expect Anderson to play if fit and he's the signing that's got us feeling more positive about the season.

Beaten by a far, far, far better side. Said I still felt Swindon are a good side and they sounded absolutely fantastic today. Completely battered us. A big gulf between the two sides, perhaps not as much as last season but it's there. Well done Swindon.

That was a surprise. But it's just one game: our squad is very small, our budget is tiny, Hylton went off on 11' with a fractured collar bone, Smith will be off to Barnsley. I'll be happy to make the play-offs.

For Bradford, a bad second half, but that can happen. I wouldn't read too much into it. You'll be in the play-offs too.

Knew this would happen when that incredibly negative side was picked. McMahon and Routis in midfield? They aren't even fucking midfielders - whilst Liddle, Marshall and Anderson are on the bench.

Awful tactics, again.

His negative tactics pissed me off no end last season. He'll never change unfortunately. We'll probably even go defensive against York...

Unlucky lads. Long old season for Bradford - piss poor team.

Well done Swindon. Expect you to be in the top 2 with us.

Laughing out loud? If you are this mad after 1 bad result - like to see when you're relegated!

People were only basing them as promotion contenders because they sold 18,000 season tickets when at least 50% don't actually support them. A very poor team with a manager who's still in the dark ages!

Never saw saw that coming at half time we should have been 3 down even though we knocked it around lovely. Second half was as good as anything last season if not better there is not many L1 sides would live with our attacking play on that second performance Byrne was almost unplayable . The only disappointment for me was that we did not go for the jugular and get 5 , 6 or 7 we were that much on top.
Great start to the season and hopefully that will shut up some of the pessimistic town fans who have been predicting doom and gloom this season

Bradford looked very good first half. Though a lot of that was down to us losing the ball in silly areas.

Think Parkinson could be the only thing that stops them fulfilling their potential to be honest. Had zero intention of attacking us in the second half and it was a completely one sided 45 minutes. We seemed to have too much energy for them to cope with and sliced through the midfield and defence at will. Didn't see that coming after the first half.

Brilliant from us. Just what was needed after the Wembley disaster. Stewart looked like the driving force in midfield that we lacked last season after Louis Thompson's injury. Vigouroux good in goal, Byrne unplayable and Obika outstanding as the central striker.

Yay footie's back.

I most admit i thought it was going to be a tough year for us, but if we keep up the standard of play that we did in the second half, a lot of teams are going to be giving the runaround, and we could be up there again this season, Bradford in the second half were second best and did not compete, and after Bryne's 3rd were totally demoralised and clueless.
i dont know how Power and Cooper do it, but trespect to the pair off them!.
