Emergency services are in attendance at Parsons Green, District Line, amid reports of an explosion in a tube carriage, originating from 'a white container'. TFL have suspended service on the line. There are walking casualties being treated for burn injuries. Judging by the reported pictures appearing of the carriage, the explosion couldn't have been too major, touch wood.

Read earlier that they have had more than half a million gun deaths since 1999. That's more than the UK have lost soldiers in every campaign since 1918.

British casualties in WW2 are a fraction of the number of people killed by guns in the US in 18 years.
