Tough game, Vale are no mugs ( if they'd managed to keep Tom Pope they'd be top six imho) and we've never won there in the league.

We've gotta go for it, and hope others slip up.

Vale 1 (Dodds, who I quite rated in his brief loan spell with us years ago)
Dale 2 (Mendez-Laing, Holty)

In good form with two wins (magnificent win last week at Gills)

Only three teams in top five on the away table have won at VP so fancy us to keep that going at get at least a point.

Feel we will sneak it 2-1 AJ and Dodds

we are 3 or 4 players missing so I don't see a home win.

The best we can hope for is a draw so 1-1

2-0 to the referee. Don't usually blame the refs these days but this muppet is absolutely clueless!

Good makes up for the decisions you got against us at Spotland.

Sounds a decent performance and had own ruled out.

Are you at the match Rotherham?! I've not blamed a ref all season this season this one though is on another planet.

In fact I don't even need to ask if you're here because if you were you wouldn't have posted the above.

Second Vale penalty makes it 4-1. Clearly got a bet on.

I'm posting from the ground.

What planet are you on D4E?

Comical defending for all the goals. The only dubious one is the first penalty.

You constantly blaming the ref is childish.

Constantly? Find another post this season where I've blamed a ref and I'll buy you a pint.

Is everyone else in this away stand wrong too then about how dire he's been today then?

Also 2 mins added? How??

Work commitments dictate the games that I attend. Hence why I don't comment on matches nowadays.

Your constant moaning about other teams having the referees help is a bit embarrassing actually.

Anyway, where were we? 2 penalties. Pfft. Cheats.

As I've said already... Find a post this season other than this thread where I have?

You posted on the Dale messageboard at half time 2-0 to the referee.

I note that you have sneakily edited it now.

as you were.

Dale fans sing at the end 'the referees a w***er... And '4-1 to the referee'. You really here Dawlish?

Edited because of the scoreline not being 2-0 now you muppet. I await the responses of the more sane Dale fans on the forum tonight.

D4E you've took a pasting today don't think you can moan at the referee for that.

Decent win, didn't miss all our lads today!

Another solid 3 points and still mathematically in the playoff race with just 2 matches to go. I know that realistically 5 points to chase down with 6 to play for is extremely unlikely but goes to show that we are not a million miles away from being a very competitive squad at this level.

Vale fans will undoubtedly look back at points dropped during the course of the season and be disappointed with where we may finish but I'd prefer for us to be in a more stable position off the pitch before we start thinking about jumping up to the next level. Going up to such a competitive level as the Championship before you are ready can be catastrophic - just ask Yeovil fans

It's another thread with you moaning about referees though, which is what you requested.

If you can't accept that one, how about your comments after the Oldham game, or the one accusing the officials of favouring Millwall because they are scared of their fans. I'm sure that was you, and it's in the last couple of months. Perhaps one of the more sane fans will find links for you.

For what it's worth, I thought the ref was inconsistant today, but in no way did he influence our stupid defending. Vale mullered us....fair play to them I say.

Omit the word 'another' and your point will maybe have some legs. Find another this season like I've said and I'll buy you a pint. Don't worry I won't sit with you while you drink it though ;).

Vale were better than us. We were awful defensively there's no denying that. The ref though was absolutely garbage.

I think although both sides have come up just short this season both sets of fans should be leaving the stadium happy with the season and progress made.

Well worth the win, the Dale keeper kept it from being 6-1 with some good saves. When i saw AJ and Dodds were not playing and Theo was starting i thought we were going to be up against it but Theo had a good game, the best game since he arrived. If we had just picked up points in the slump we has in Easter i we could have been in the mix. Now we have to much to do to get in it now.

Wonder goals by both Theo Robinson and Calvin Andrew in the same game, never expected to see that!
JJ starting to show he could turn into a real recent player and next season be the striker we've missed all this season.

Agreed.

Our squad isn't up there with the better teams in the league, so to be looking at a top half finish is very acceptable. A few months ago we were looking at sliding into the relegation scrap so well done to Hill and the team.

1st goal offside on viewing the highlights and 1st penalty not a penalty. We shouldn't have got ourselves into the position we got into though. 2nd penalty was a penalty. Still stand by my earlier posts about how disgraceful the officials were today.

I'm pretty new here and haven't yet seen the goals from today so could someone help me out - do I take what D4E is saying as fact or is he/she one of these who struggles to accept defeat no matter what has gone on in the match?
