Can we play you twice? C'mon pretty please.

I'd love us to play Hartlepool more often too, they're a team sat down there letting themselves be available for a hammering.

If we had picked up even just a few more points away from home, we could be have been involved. Our home form is 3rd in the league and our away form is last.

Home form table: http://www.statto.com/football/stats/england/league-two/2015-2016/true-table/home
Away form table: http://www.statto.com/football/stats/england/league-two/2015-2016/true-table/away

and you come to the team with the best home record in the league on Saturday. Has to be a nailed on away win in that case!

We won't bottle it this year. In fact we will strengthen in January from what I'm hearing.

I think someone will come through from the pack and grab third place, but not sure who? I think Accrington are the best side I've seen, but they may be caught out by a lack of resources and a fixture backlog in the second half of the season.

We'll see, and I remain unconvinced. Over the past month we have the worst league form of the promotion challengers and a set of January fixtures that look hideous. I would be absolutely delighted to be proved wrong, I really would. But the proof will be on the pitch, not on paper.

The best team that I have seen this season has to be Accrington.

Fixtures:
Carlisle v Plymouth
Northampton v Barnet
Notts County v Oxford
Portsmouth v Crawley
Wycombe v Morecambe
Bristol Rovers v Luton
Mansfield v Accrington
Stevenage v Orient
Cambridge v AFC Wimbledon

I'd say the biggest game out of those is Carlisle v Plymouth, a home win would keep us within reach of the top 3 though a win for the Pilgrims would extend that gap further. Northampton have an easy game on paper, but Barnet are capable of a shock result. Oxford face a tough game at Notts County who, with their home form, will fancy themselves to get at least a point.

Looking down the table, Mansfield v Accrington could be important. The Stags have been slipping down the table recently, as have Accy (due to fixture postponements).

Must say they were very good on Saturday. Pace, power, have a dirty side to their game though.

A win is vital for us with some tougher games coming after, and Portsmouth should win so it's important to maintain a gap for as long as we can.

How do Accrington Stanley attract a few good players to their club? They're the smallest club in the football league and it's not as if they have a big budget to pay for big wages.

Their club could be getting run in the right way perhaps, similar to Burton Albion and having the right type of manager, even though he can be a sore loser.

Thought they looked awful at fratton. Real up and under team and filthy with it. They were above us in the league at that point though so clearly works for them. I can't imagine the surface at home games encourages them to play it about much either.

As you were with the top 4 then, routine wins for us and Portsmouth and impressive wins for Oxford and Plymouth.

By the time we play our next league game, it will be almost a whole month since we last picked up a point.

Huge, huge win for us last night. Went to Plymouth and nullified their threat and came away with the three points.

Quite a big weekend of action to look forward to now, Portsmouth and Rovers will be looking to keep the pace with the top 3 and Mansfield, Orient and Carlisle will be hoping for some slip ups from those in the playoffs.

1) Plymouth - 52
2) Northampton - 52
3) Oxford - 48

4) Portsmouth - 44
5) Bristol Rovers - 43
6) Wycombe - 40
7) Accrington - 39 (Only played 22)

8) Mansfield - 38
9) Orient - 37
10) Carlisle - 37

This weekends fixtures:

Stanley P-P Portsmouth
Wimbledon v Mansfield
Barnet v Carlisle
Dagenham v Northampton
Hartlepool v Wycombe
Orient v Exeter
Plymouth v Stevenage

Oxford v Bristol Rovers (Sunday)

Can see wins for us and Plymouth in the top two and possibly a draw on Sunday. By Sunday evening we could be 11 points clear of 4th.

We have plenty of games in hand ourselves. Just need to concentrate on ourselves rather than wait for someone to slip up.

Just realised oxford are still in the jpt. They must have a load of games over the next month or so.

We've still got all of the top 6 to play at home so I'm not too concerned at being 8 points behind the top 2.

I think we've got a load of home games against the top teams as well which is nice, especially with the new pitch on its way to completion.

Is Oxford v Brizzle on the tele?

We've got 4 of that current top 7 still to play away. Carlisle and Orient away aswell. I'll say it again for a change but we still haven't beaten a side in the top half this season, Saturday we go to 11th place Wimbledon who haven't won at home since October. It's not something to get excited about but it would be a start.

I can see us putting in a right load of half hearted tripe vs Poolz on Saturday, in anticipation of Tuesday's replay.

Got a feeling this month will see us drop out of the play offs. In a way I'd be happy, we're not good enough and wouldn't survive in L1. I'll be over the moon with finishing 8th and making the odd addition and push on next year

No. The only reason it is delayed until sunday is that we are playing Millwall in the JPT tomorrow night and we are entitled to 2 clear days between matches.

Hopefully it will be out of both of our hands, either way, by the time we get down to you...I don't fancy our chances if we need something...
