Joshua is a good boxer but will often come unstuck against someone with a chin who is prepared to let their hands go. Especially shorter guys firing over his right hand. Whyte had him wobbled, Povetkin hurt him. It was life or death with a 70 year old Klitchsko. He has a stiff defence and not much boxing IQ. He doesn't know when to clinch and smother and has kinda slow footwork. Instead of working more on his fundamentals, he should be using his attributes. He's a physical specimen with heavy hands. He should be looking to blast guys from the first bell and clinch and lean allover anyone who tries get inside on him. Push them right back to the ropes and keep leaning. Not many guys could handle him just trying to blast them out of there. Unfortunately, Ruiz, with his fast hands, willingness to always counter a shot and good chin was always bad for Joshua. Hell, AJ put Ruiz down, the only guy ever to do so, we know he has the power. Just go for it. Set about him right away.
In terms of the fight, I'm pretty sure that first KD by Ruiz gave Joshua a concussion or something. He was never the same after. I think he said something like 'why do I feel like this' between rounds. The body was willing but the head was shaken up.
Miller getting done for doping could be the worst thing to happen to AJs career
