The 'mighty Sheffield United' will never beat our pointless club.

Send Keith Gillespie my best, that's if he still isn't a bitter c***.

Never beat you explain?. Gillespie got sent off in a game we'd already lost why the fuck would we care about him, never played again after that.

How did we embarrass ourselves we were 2nd favourites to go down and we went down. I obviously don't want em to go up but if they do fair play to em they will of deserved it. Plus I have a lot more respect for Wednesday than a pointless football club like reading.

The year we went down we got 38 points check your stats and see how many times that's survival.
Seen my team relegated from the top division in a 20 team league with 43 fucking points, now that's a pisser

Aye that's unlucky. My god do I wish I was about to experience that day though. Days like that don't come any better. You go up and your main rivals go down on the same day. That's what footballs all about

Ha I bet you wish you were old enough for that day pal.....imagine it being that day when you move 2 divisions above your rivals who had you on the rack less than a decade ago and should have been the City's top dogs but invariably they let you down, again [emoji33]

Got block 135 pal as I had to wait.

66 years in it 45 years out of it that's not a club that belongs in the top flight it's one that moves between the 2 leagues but has had a few years more in the higher one
Ok mate, then can you name me 20 clubs who have spent longer than 66 years in the top flight? Don't just guess them either, as you did with the 45 years, which is wrong, we have actually had more than 45 years out of the top flight. Not that I believe we "belong" in the top flight, you belong there on performance so Bournemouth, Swansea, etc belong to be up there, as will us or Hull, whoever wins next week, (Though as a neutral I would feel for Brighton). Doing it on your basis of previous years spent in top flight (which is bollocks anyway) I'm sure we would be in the top 20 so therefore would "belong" in top flight. Think the Wolves fan was going on potential, club size, fanbase, history etc, in which case most people would say we "belong" in the top flight. I agree with him about that and the other clubs he mentioned including yourself. Just admit your dreading the fact that we MIGHT do it.

There won't be 20 I'd guess there would be about 10 more. And I agree your in the top 20 biggest clubs however you don't belong in the top flight do you as you say. It was that comment that annoyed me to which he has since said he worded it wrong or along them lines.

If I was to guess without looking I'd go.

Man utd, Liverpool, arsenal, Everton, villa, West ham, Chelsea, spurs for sure maybe clubs like Blackburn, Sunderland, Newcastle, Leeds, man city but I don't know

There's 13 clubs with more top flight experience than us.

We joined the league in 1892, 66 top flight, 38 2nd tier, 9 in 3rd tier. The difference is the War years.

Aye formed in 1919 after Leeds City folded due to being bent bastards.

WBA have spent 78 on comparison with Wolves' 63 - as per this website that I usually use...

I'm pretty certain Walkley didn't know all this off the top of his head mate.

Sure your right pal, l couldn't be arsed to look em all up though. If it is off the top of his head he needs to get out more. :)
On subject it should be a close game, l think if we play to our full potential we will win, but I'm sure the Hull fans think this too. Hearing they are struggling to sell tickets, if so hope we get some more as our part timers are out in force, doubt we will though.

I said last week no way hull will sell 39k tickets. They brought about 25k in the FA Cup semi against us. You will get more I think West ham had about 50k against Blackpool a few years back. Not that the extra tickets are going to proper wednesday fans anyway cos if you can't get a ticket out of 39k for a club that gets 22k your basically not a fan are you.

Hull to go up because I am a bitter individual and blame Sheffied Wednesday for stopping us winning what would have been the biggest trophy in our history last season.

Who can be arsed seeing Hull promoted? Not a fan of another club with a foreign milionaire being in the prem but that's football nowadays, also when we played Wednesday quite a good while ago they threw coins at us and that's taken me a while to forgive.

Wednesday have their very own rich foreign owner nowadays in Chansiri (sp?) I believe.

It's my bro's Wedding next week so am missing this probably (part of me is still hopeful of somehow watching it!) However will firmly be cheering for Wednesday. Would love to see them back in the prem. Slightly off topic but me and my Missus are having a baby in Oct and I already said to someone that if one day that child wants to support a football team I would prefer it to be a Sheffield team, as we have no plans to move and I don't want them getting stuck supporting a team you can't easily go watch.

My fear is how organised and experienced this Hull side are.

I'd advise against supporting any of us.

Wouldn't it be great if the Prem was made up of just the Lancashire and Yorkshire clubs.

It'd be smashin'

I'm not going to pretend to try and play the solitary Hull City fan us against the world you can all do one attitude. I'd love Wednesday in the Prem. You just knew that this thread was going towards a "Wednesday is a big club so deserve to go up more than shitty 'Ull" debate à la Leeds. That was expected but I kinda get why people want it to happen. I only got into football after the 98 World Cup so was only able to enjoy 2 seasons of Wednesday in the Prem but you could tell that it was massively supported club despite having a poor season at the turn of the century (especially, with a decent squad with players like Alexandersson and De Bilde) so having them back would be lovely. Hillsborough is one of the rare grounds I'd consider going to flying from France for a game. Maybe make a weekend of it with other games tucked in (already done Bramall Lane though).
It's a win-win situation for me. I completely understand why people would find Hull going up as tedious as they just went down and also comprehend Wednesday going up as the proper club is going up.

I'm quite undecided on the result actually. I saw the 2nd leg against Brighton and thought Wednesday were solid at the back despite being under pressure. It certainly will be one tight affair just like when Hull beat Bristol City a few years back. I can only see a goal in that game. Really don't have a clue who will score it though. I can see Wednesday taking this 1-0.

Not sure what is happening on a ticket front. Hull tickets go OFF sale tomorrow having been on general sale since Thursday/Friday i think. Last i knew they'd only shifted 17,500, that was yesterday but i expect that may have gone up abit. From our point of view they don't go on general sale until Tuesday, which is a day after Hull's end? I wonder if there is a possibility we will be allocated extra ticket. Does anyone know if this has happened at Wembley before? We got extra in 2005 at Cardiff but not sure what the segregation etc.. is like at Wembley, any ideas??
