Some on your forum have cheek to say we are nothing special maybe so but we are holding our own in league 1 and have best away form in league

Plenty of special people on that forum, I wouldn't take any notice of it.

Midday on Sunday may keep that number low.

Two early goals, ended up a fairly routine win for a depleted Dale (four YT players on the bench).

Carlisle next, going well in L2. And Jason Kennedy will no doubt get his traditional 35 yard worldie against us (but miss a penalty in the shootout if it goes to a replay :-) )

Blimey! I wasn't expecting that.

Any news on Walker? Looked nasty from where I was.

Should have absolutely spanked Crawley tonight, but as usual we switched off defensively and gifted them a route back into it. Gaffney was absolutely outstanding though and thoroughly deserved his two goals. Hopefully it will give him a lift and he can take that goalscoring touch into the league this weekend.

It's what happens when you have 11 John Inmans in your team. 'I'm free!'

Tbh, that was the most cringeworthy 90 minutes of turgid, gutless crap I've ever witnessed - and by our standards that's something.

It surely didn't outdo our 90 minutes of turgid, gutless crap on Saturday at the very same ground?

As predicted!
Can you not afford to sack your manager? Who is actually managing your side. Why bring in Sherwood to confuse matters? Just sack the manager put Sherwood in charge and get on with it.

It was very similar. The only difference was you were at least playing a side in the same league.

It is very confusing....Sherwood is director of football, he has no contract, he's just helping out his mate Power, Luke Williams is manager , when Martin Ling decided he couldn't cope with management, Williams was promoted from coach to manager and given a 5 year contract!
Sherwood is now choosing the team, training the team and last night was running the show from the dugout in the second half..... so who's in charge is anyones guess, Power , will not sack Williams, he is rated by the football world as a bloody good coach, but how long Williams will put up being, a puppet is any ones guess, mind you , while he was the manager , it seems that Power chose the team and set the tactics, brought in the players...... it's just a mess, and I fear for our future!

What does Williams actually do every day then? Assuming he doesn't have to be in Swindon, and it sounds like there's no reason for him to be, this sounds like close to an ideal job.

We've been the better side, just can't defend.

Getting fuck all off the officials also doesn't help.

The one where we've been hit by a set-piece and a counter attack. I'm not saying we're dominant by any means, but we've had the better of the play. If we could defend at a level above sunday league we'd be fine here.

Brackley look decent and should of had a goal or two more, no idea why the lad didn't shoot when clean through.

Gills look poor tonight but you'd expect them to improve second half.

Gillingham look alright going forward, a bit wasteful but seem to be a threat.

Defensively though, I hardly know where to start. All over the place, could have been 4 or 5-1 down before they equalised. Just conceded a woeful third as well. Atrocious.

This is the issue. Forward 6 of our team is really quite good. Neat and tidy, good movement etc. However we know as soon as the back 5 is tested we're fucked.

Gillingham number 6 is either absolutely shit or just having a really bad night. He got away with one second half, but got punished there for that 4th.

Comical stuff really, no defensive line, mistakes every where, poor on set pieces.

Conceding 6 to Brackley over 2 games should be setting off massive alarm bells.

He has had a shitter, yes. Only one of the back 4 that started should be in our starting 11 - Jackson and Garmston are sprinters but not footballers, Oshilaja is a liability. Feel sorry for Ehmer, spends all his time tidying up mistakes from the others.
