Could see it being a problem when trying to see flags and as the article says lights. Also will it slow down drivers getting out in an emergency?

No real surprises in the Barcelona tests. Mercedes looking really strong followed by Ferrari, who I hope have closed the gap.

As expected Steve Jones gets the C4 host gig alongside Coulthard. Susie Wolff is expected to feature as well.

In regards to testing Mercedes look like they're the team to beat again, Hamilton clearly isn't showing his hand yet but I feel we're likely to see Rosberg back to his best this season.

Hamilton has fast become one one of the most dislikeable people in sport. Great talent but an absolute shit of a man. His desperation to come across as some sort of playboy coupled with his pseudo-American accent have really started to grate.

I usually support any Brit in any sport, Hamilton is the exception. His appearance seems more important to him than the sport he competes in. Snubbing the autosport awards to party in America tells you how much he values the sport that made him famous.

New format - same outcome and a bit of a mess really!

Qualifying finished at least 5 minutes before the end of the final session really!

Didn't watch it, from what I've read and heard it seems like a bit of a disaster. No cars on track at the end of Q3 shouldn't happen. I'll give it a watch at Bahrain, if it lasts that long.

Was a rubbish format. Vettel was in a pair of jeans when it Q3 finished which says it all.

Hamilton showing his superiority over Rosberg once again.

Actually ended up sounding like a decent competitive race with Hamilton having to fight back from a poor start.

Lots of action lower down and a nasty crash involving Alonso.

Yeah decent GP. Enjoyed it for once. Hopefully sets the tone for the season. Very nasty crash for Alonso. Glad to see he was ok

That Alonso crash was brutal but it was great to see he was okay. It was a good race but the start really dictated what was going to happen with Hamilton. Once again denied of a Hamilton/Vettel scrap towards the end there. Palmer had a good race also.

I miss Formula One. :(

Since 2011 it has been replaced with some other motor sport which claims to be F1, but no instead it has been the 'Who can manage their car and tyres better' championship.

The racing in it is almost non existent and it has been too technical for too many seasons now. Why can't they just go back to the way it was like in 2007 and 2008 where there were title fights to the end of the season and battles for 1st in most races instead of boring processions and the only battles being for 14th place, wow.

There is too much of a big gap in the pack, when do you ever get shock wins or even podium finishes from inferior teams?

I'd say that Max Verstappen driver is the only interesting and exciting one out there right now, even Lewis Hamilton has become boring now and his dress sense just makes him look so daft.

The Hamilton-Rosberg rivalry was good in 2014 but since then they hardly ever battle against each other and don't get on each other's nerves either.

CHANGE SHOULD OF HAPPENED YEARS AGO

DRS is one of my bugbears. Brought in to aid overtaking 3 or 4 years ago, yet nothing has been done to make it redundant. I don't want to see an overtake 500 metres before the corner, I want to see a well crafted move with a bit of guile.

I think bringing people in like Ross Brawn, Patrick Head or Rory Byrne would help. It would give them an idea how teams and engineers interpret and exploit the rules. A bit of guidance could go a long way.

Have been watching formula one for over 20 years and last season was the worst I've seen. On the plus side there are some good drivers out there, they just need to sort out the rules.

Didn't see it but sounds like a decent race with drama from the start.

Hamilton will be seething letting Rosbeg win again.

Strong showing from Red Bull again and Grosjean has started well at Haas.

Used to love F1 with a passion, could hardly be arsed about it these days.

I'll watch it when it's on but I don't go the extra length like I used to.

Probably doesn't help having so many races early on in the day and so much confusion with qualifying etc.

In a way the early incidents helped because so many top drivers had to battle back from trouble but that won't happen too often.

Changes at Red Bull - seems harsh.

Whilst Daniil Kvyat did mess up in Russian he had come 3rd the race before.

But then Verstappen is seen as the hot tip for the future and already impressed.

Just watched a Formula 4 race on Sunday on ITV4 and let me tell you that was far more exciting racing than what we see in Formula 1, I had not heard of any of the drivers or teams but there were actual challenges for 1st place with something like 4/5 cars with a chance of winning, proper wheel to wheel racing and no car running miles ahead in front.

F1 should learn from F4 and have rules that don't let one team be so dominant.

Overly aggressive from Rosberg, gave Hamilton nowhere to go. On the plus side with both Mercs out could be a decent race.

Rosberg has a right to defend his line which he did most of the blame lies with Hamilton for this he should never have tried the move to begin with.

He has to give 1 car length to Hamilton, yes it was a little ambitious however Rosberg slammed him to the grass. Completely outrageous. Blame is on Rosberg.

Was on the phone when the accident happened but looking at it now, that was an outrageous move on rosberg's part, drove Lewis - who had all the momentum coming into the turn - off the road leaving no space at all.

Rosberg's move was too late. Hamilton had the momentum, he was already there when Rosberg's drove him off. If Hamilton had wanted to hit Rosberg, he'd have just stayed on the track and used his front wing to give Rosberg a puncture. The fact Hamilton got off the circuit to avoid hitting Rosberg suggests to me he didn't want to hit him. It's Rosberg's fault, he just didn't get across quick enough and then didn't give Hamilton any room.

What an incredible drive from 18 year old Max Verstappen.

Big future ahead, youngest ever race winner.
