Is it quite nomral for as many new people to seemingly vanish? Anyway of finding out why they havent posted as much after signing up TB?

New member retention is the goal for any forum, it's easier said than done.

Sometimes, for seemingly reasons unknown at all people sign up with good intentions but rarely return.

I'm glad you've asked though, as it's reminded me to look into the possibility of having an auto mailer sending out a "You haven't visited us in a while" message to user accounts which haven't been logged into in say... 14 days. Even if the success rate of pulling people back through that method is fairly low, providing its automated then it's worth implementing.
