Quick hop up the country for a Tuesday night game, then. Would have seen an epic 4-4 draw happening a couple of months ago, but we've really tightened up under Nolan. Hard-fought 1-0 defeat it is.

To think this would have been Jabo's first game back had his red card stood.

Ironically would probably have scored a hat trick.

Hero.

Another important game, I think we need at least 3 points from Orient and Northampton in the coming week. A win on Tuesday would put us ahead of Orient, but more importantly put us right back in the playoffs mix.

Orient have improved under Nolan, and will probably fancy themselves for at least a point despite our 2-1 win at Brisbane Road earlier in the season.

I hope we attack from the off and put in a positive performance, we've been sloppy in recent games. I'd like to see Asamoah and Hery start, in place of Comley (injured) and Hope.

To be fair, that was probably our best performance during Bendon's tenure. We absolutely dicked all over you for 90 minutes, and I have no idea how we lost the match (well, I do. Gillespie had a worldie of a game and we missed a hatful of chances whilst you scored from the two times you got into our box all game. But I digress).

King Jabo has a pretty terrible record against us since he left, but I think he'll nab a late winner after MacQueen meep meeps his way past our giant, angry left back.

We'll be making changes, doubt Nolan will play two in a week and he'll be used as an impact player. Hopefully McAnuff is fit to start, we played two makeshift wingers Saturday in Moore and Clohessy - Moore played the week before at Notts County too on the left wing - who were also very poor. I doubt it will work against a playoff chasing side. Jahaldho-Martin has to start for me.

This will be my tenth visit to Carlisle.

Also, is the Premier Inn by the ground still, standing? Obviously I hope people have recovered from the floods there a few months back, how is the area at the moment?

The smell of damp is lifting, the Christmas decorations in windows have cleared out and there are fewer skips than there were. Many businesses were quick to get back on their feet, the offy, the premier inn, the club shop and the beehive pub are all open as normal, others such as the cafe outside the grounds and our ticket office are trading out of portakabins. Pretty much all the houses are still empty and the blue ribbons around the lampposts indicate the height of the floodwater.

I think we'll take one point from these next 2 games. Not sure which team we'll take the point from, but I'm leaning towards Northampton which means defeat tonight.

1-2

Do we think Jabo will celebrate when he completes his hat trick tonight?

He's said he won't celebrate against Orient.

Personally I don't like that, you celebrate because you've scored for the club you play for, not because of who you've scored against. I'd celebrate if I scored against Carlisle.

Leyton Orients last 2 visits to Brunton Park ended up...

2012/2013 Carlisle 1-4 Orient
2013/2014 Carlisle 1-5 Orient

Well I think it's time that changed.

Let's remind ourselves of that excellent decision to send Miller off in the last time this fixture was played.

Curzon Ashton....and Carlisle
My last ever game as a local Carlisle fan, from now on I'm an exile. Sort've ironic that its orient, the side we always play.

Weather awful at present may hurt quality of match

Even more ridiculous than the Ibehre decision. Same ref I think.

Ironically my first ever, so nice to leave home twenty minutes before kickoff with a hot pie in my jacket pocket. You in work tomorrow?

Just heard him pronounce it right. He's from Derby in any case.

We have a different bloke doing it for player. I think he's literally a cast off.

Classic commentary so far has included:

"Someone has passed me a piece of paper, I was meant to pass on the piece of paper, I have now passed on the piece of paper".

"Palmer and Moore are on. Don't know who is off. People are standing up, I can't see".

"Orient fans are in... well, not quite dreamland because things can get even better".

He's also taken a picture of the snow, it was a bad picture so he didn't put it on Twitter.

SIMMMMOOOOO!

A draw was probably the right result, but on our second half performance I really thought we should've won, but Carlisle threw the kitchen sink at us when they went 2-1 down.

Credit to Nolan he changed it at half time because we was so ineffective first half. Palmer and Simpson linked up well for us.

Thought Carlisle weren't great, but they held us at bay first half and threw everything at us at 2-1 down.

Pleased with a point.

We could have been out of sight by half time. We had some glorious chances to make it 2-0. Smart save to deny Wyke, kept himself big but still felt Wyke should have scored. Jabo's effort on goal was embarrassing and Kennedy should have done better with a header. It was a really easy first half.

Second half Orient were good and could have easily won.

So a game of 2 halves and a draw is fair.
