Need to get Eppiah on, half broken or not. I'd replace Mills but not another right back to sub in.

Effective side Mansfield. Best side at Holker Street all season, although that's probably the worst criteria to judge how good a side is in football history.

Bowery must have improved since 2009/10 when we had him on loan from the then "big" club Chesterfield - he was nothing special back then.

Weird to say at 2-0 but we haven’t been great just clinical. Like I mentioned earlier with that midfield we struggle to win challenges in middle of park giving Northampton too much of the ball.

The angle from behind the goal on the first one for Mansfield isn’t especially flattering to Maxted.

Decent watch though.

Yeah, i'm very glad Roberts is back next leg. Need to keep the score this at worst if we want a chance.

Aye, I genuinely don’t think you’ve played badly it’s just Mansfield have been really good at breaking at pace after forcing the error.

Yeah agree with that.

What’s the deal with Oates? His goal tally for the season isn’t great but he’s looked very good against Salford & tonight.

From the small sample I’ve seen, he looks better than 12 goals a season

Played in the number 10 role at start of season, a mistake from Clough.

We have the players to control midfield but Clough likes the attacking threat from midfield with this.

Game on! Credit to the ref thats a great advantage he played.

Keeper had no chance with it as was completely unsighted and a deflection too.

Another quality finish. Mansfield a good team, but their defence has got more holes in it than a Labour manifesto!

Lucky deflection, but great time for Koiki to finally get a goal. Lovely run by Aperre, been getting better and better since he joined.

Mansfield have got good attacking players, but they aren't half dodgy in defence. I suppose if both facets were perfect they would have been promoted already.

A good game has gone a bit scrappy. Guess both teams wouldn’t be too unhappy with the current score line !

All Northampton now. Mansfield need to find a way to get someone to hold on to it up top as the ball just keeps coming back to them.

Can see how Northampton are so good at set pieces as well judging by the amount of pushing that goes on with each corner.

I'd take this score to Sixfields. All to play for, just need Roberts back and Eppiah and Aperre playing together.

That’s horrendous referee. That’s a pen to Northampton, not a freekick to Mansfield!

Based on this game I think Port Vale and Swindon would be quietly confident should they get to the final?

Good game that was. Thought before Mansfield needed to take a lead to Sixfields if they were to go through and they’ve got it. With that said I think Northampton clearly grew in confidence as the game wore on. Take that into the second leg and they will fancy their chances.

Definition of a game of two halves. Should make for an interesting second leg.

Finely poised that one. Northampton maybe could feel aggrieved with the first goal and the grapple at the end which could of gone either way.

Still can’t call a winner in this tie.
