Tad less disappointed today, performance wise it was not good enough but we did win.

Clough needs to seriously think about putting Lapslie or Clarke in that starting eleven Wednesday, he may be forced to because Quinn didn’t look right yet and had to come off.

Oates is always going to be a pain for that Northampton defence but he needs more help too, too many times he’s got the ball high up and the rest of the team are lagging too far behind.

Proctor coming out is a surprise but looks like a pack the midfield job and use Edmundson on the break with his pace.

Glad Charsley is back as need his pressing.

Just watched that game back. Our penalty shout in the last minute how is that a Mansfield free kick haha. Christ alive. First also offside but what can you do.

Mansfield looked ropey in that second half, set up nicely for Wednesday.

After the decisions we’ve had this season it’s nice to actually benefit from an incorrect decision for once - though of course it shouldn’t be happening

League 2 refs are generally garbage from what I’ve seen this year.

Seemed like in the second half we were picking up the ball very easily in midfield and hence why we kept the pressure on as we did.

I've just been told what happened to Darrell Clarke. Really puts life into perspective and in a really weird way means losing the play offs to Vale wouldn't be so bad as he really deserves good things.

We’ve zero pace in the side, it needs addressing in the summer.

Yeah and if you look earlier in the thread I mentioned how the midfield that I thought Clough would pick (and he did) leaves us without the legs or battle in the middle, Longstaff and Quinn in midfield is the problem but it’s difficult because both play such a important part in our attack.

If Quinn is injured then Lapslie or Clarke should come in, but if he’s fit I would perfer Longstaff to be dropped. We basically gave up our press to fit in the likes of Murphy, Longstaff.

It’s incredible that he’s had the character to come back at all let alone so soon for me and still have that hunger.

A guy I know, knew him from Salisbury and said he's an absolute gentleman so felt really bad that he wanted him to lose.

Feel sorry for those Vale fans behind the goal. Had to happen with the rain. Beautiful blue skies up here!

uncovered stands are the height of tinpotedness. (i suppose having 3 stands is too before some bright spark comes up with it)

Needless corner to give away but an even worse attempt at defending it.

Beating ourselves at the moment, really poor error for the corner and even worse to let the smallest man get a free header.

We’ve had good moments but need to keep our heads.

Some antics aren’t great by Swindon, not sure why you need to hold your face when you get kicked in the gut but need to not throw away the tie in the first leg.

May be time for Procs

I think someone is going to run on the pitch and smack McKirdy by the end of this game.

We’ve been far too ponderous with the ball. Frustrating to concede on a set piece as well.

Vale looked good until we scored. We've been okay but not great. Hoping the midfield three really start to dominate second half.

Vale are a bit heavy handed, tbh. Much stronger than us physically.

Got the feeling this could boil over second half.

Sending off in this game i fancy. Harry McKirdy has really got Vale riled up. Only a matter of time before someone gives him a kick.

If someone does kick him proper and take him out.

I said this before the game. Vale need to ignore him. He’s a right twat - but he’s our twat and I love it!
Said it before the last game ignore the circus and focus on us. Dazzler needs to get into them at HT
