Decent mini league.

Blackburn
Blackpool
Burnley
Preston
Wigan

First time the first four teams have been in the same league since 1961.

Interesting to see who Burnley appoint, i'm not sure they'll bounce back again this time around and it seems there could be money trouble.

Blackburn trying to bring in Carvahal, dull but steady, kind of a Mowbray MKII.

Blackpool will do well to keep hold of their manager, think he has a long contract though.

Blackpool in big trouble next season unless Simon Sadler pulls a rabbit out the hat. Tony Mowbray maybe?

Critchley had a largely L1 level group of players really punching, I'd be amazed if an established manager will take on that task.

Evatt maybe? Karl Robinson?

He won't go somewhere where he can't spend a bit. Goes under the radar how well the Venkys backed him.

I suspect it will be another good academy coach type punt.

Did he spend a lot fee wise, only recall Brereton, Dack and Armstrong money wise but didn't Armstrong sale pay for Brereton.

He got backed loanee wise

Happy to be proved wrong pal as I didn't pay much attention to them.

Brereton (£7m), Gallagher (£5m), Armstrong (£1.5 rising to £3m), and Dack (about £750k but massive contract after his extension). They were all at the club at the same time and signed by Mowbray.

I don't trust that site but maybe true after selling Armstrong, not sure about other big sales. High wage turnover considering crowds though.

Jesus christ you lot know fuck all....Evatt is here for the long haul

He has still a lot to learn................he can do that without the pressure of being sacked
Never get better owners
Bolton are a bigger club............always will be
Blackpool is a decent job but not for Evatt at this time

Any manager would be daft to not step up a level when given the chance, their stock can drop quickly. Plus the wanker is a bit of a hero at the Lashers.

is it stepping up a level??....agreed they are a Championship club and he has strong ties with the club, but he can certainly go as far with Bolton as Blackpool.
If he goes we both move on. After all he walked at Barrow , because Bolton was the right job at the right time if he feels Blackpool are the same he will walk.......just a gut feeling he will stay

Bolton are a better prospect but if he doesn't get you up this season, the club might look to change, and he might regret having a stab at the Championship when the chance came along.

I think if we progress and reach at least the play-offs he will be fairly safe.....We have great owners and i think they believe in Evatt.....
Blackpool maybe tempting to him who knows but he wont have a more secure job than he has now....his choice

Exactly what the Lashers were saying about Critchley for the last 12 months

Apparently Liam Rosenior has turned down Blackpool, citing no money for signings unless they sell and their shithole of a training ground as his excuses for doing so.

Surely the compo for Critchley funds a signing or two, Nixon said it was a decent whack

Two major banks have pulled out of their no-mark owner's hedge fund. Hopefully anything they make from Critchley & Bowler just covers his losses, and things only get worse from here on in.

There's a reason an assistant from a L1 club in dire straits has rejected them. Critchley couldn't get out of there quick enough.

Ouch.

Still the rivalry you have isn't a patch on the El Glosico

Michael Appleton. Appointing a well-thought of former player from your biggest rivals never ends well and that comes from experience. The moment they lose a few, the fans will turn and they’ll be no going back.

One of my favourite PNE midfielders. He'll get a better reception from us than the 7,000 who turn out at Bloomfield this season.
