We are now at the business end. Expect changes at the top as the pressure starts to show.
I still think we are good for top 6. Top 2 for me is 2 from 5- including Coventry and Peterborough

I think you can write Posh off now, the majority of there fans certainly have. We would have to hit relegation form to fall out of the play offs.
Realistically we are in the driving seat for automatic promotion.

Yeah, even with relegation form from now till the end of the season, I think the current top three would still end up in the playoffs at least.

I'll stop it now, I'm bordering on having a positive outlook. Haha

Yeah, cant see us finishing outside of the playoffs now, It's just a matter of where we'll finish

I personally don't want to go through the heartbreak of the play offs, I don't think I'd ever get over it if we lost :D

But if it goes to the last day and we go up automatically, Jesus, There will be scenes at Vale Park :D

Don't think we ever ruled ourselves in. Our squad isn't strong enough yet.

At the start of the season that would have seemed about as likely as Leicester being top of the Premier League.
The world's gone mad I tell ya!!

One of my all time favourite away days that match, half a dozen of us went, plenty of train beers, a few more in Burton and a glorious sing-song in the sunshine during the most pointless game I can remember.
I have never heard our fans singing another team's name before, but somehow it all made sense that day.

You forgot the main event - Tommy Forecast.

Brilliant day though.

Could be a huge game if we have a chance of nicking that last play off spot on the last game.

I'd expect Burton and Gills to ram home their advantage this weekend with a couple of relatively 'easy' (as easy as they could be currently) fixtures away from home.

Blackpool have certainly picked up of late so I wouldn't necessarily class them as 'easy'.

Anyway, we're all in this together now. Two for the the top spots and 1 of us to win the playoffs please.

Don't want to go through the play offs again, having been involved in 2 of the last 3 seasons in them I would much prefer automatic ! They are a nightmare and Wembley is abysmal.
Of course we will take that route if its available but honestly think Albion are targeting automatics.

Without a shadow of a doubt the best way to go up though

Especially on a beautiful hot day, it is your birthday, your team scores a 90th minute winner, and you have backed the 1st goalscorer/correct score combo at 45/1 :ohy:

Good old Simeon eh?
Reminds me of 1999 when I was standing at Wembley wearing a big smug grin at 90 minutes, holding a betting slip that said Gillingham to win 2-0......80/1.

I have never bet on a Gills match since!

I hated Wembley and its prawn sandwich brigade atmosphere with 70k there for the JPT. Play off final may be a little different. Not sure I can handle the playoffs to be honest. Losing in them has a habit of carrying over into the following season.

Been 3 times, seen us lose 3 times without scoring a goal and am still taken back by the place and would rather watch Town play there than anywhere else.

I think its shite too obviously as a stadium its impressive but on days like playoff finals and semi finals the atmospheres are awful its full of pretend fans although we always lose so my opinion might differ should we ever win. I still think id much prefer winning in an away leg semi playoff or away quarter final. And as for england games at wembley well what can i say i believe id rather stick my cock in a nettle bush.

The daytrippers are a drain but I'd still rather have 25K there than 6,500 hardcore. Obviously slightly different for clubs like Sheff Utd

I went to the old Wembley many times including once with the Albion for an FA Trophy final when we took 14,000. Whatever the occasion it was a good atmosphere and day out. Have been to the "new Wembley" 3 times, twice with Stoke and once with the Albion. Just awful, over priced tickets and the area is just dire, its like going to your national stadium and its in another country !
There's deeper reasons for me too, so briefly without going into too much detail. When St Georges was first purchased and a new national stadium was planned, the stadium was to be built in the midlands near to Birmingham, this was so it was a short journey from the training facilities to the stadium. Win win win really making it easier for all to see the national team or get to cup finals/events and so on. All that suddenly changed, St Georges was moth balled and the new stadium was to be Wembley redeveloped, an enormous cost compared to the building of the previously stated new stadium. This almost caused the total abandonment of St Georges and has led to the ticketing system and agreements for finals/semi finals we have now to pay off the huge debt. All brushed under the carpet nicely now but the FA couldn't find their arses with both hands if you ask me, totally inept and maybe the "c" word could come into play rather like the governing body FIFA if you get my obvious drift !
Here's hoping we get automatic promotion !

I've only been once and we won 4-0 and most of the match was just a procession.

I was half cut too.

I fucking love the place.

See, my experiences of Wembley couldn't have been any more perfect. Won both, scored a couple of crackers, never really looked like losing either game nor did we concede. I never noticed the lack of fans in our end for either game and being sat with a bunch of day trippers didn't bother me. Yeah, it was overpriced for tickets and drinks etc, but I loved both trips and would happily go back.

I dont understand how a lot of ckubs like yourselves suddenly can pull 4x youre average home support to wembley that would be like us taking 80k which we dont have that many fans worldwide. At least we only get a few thousand pretenders still seems like so fucking many when im there though
