No offence to the Gulls, but I want FCUM to win the tie today. I've booked 3 days B & B in Torquay for our match on 28th without even factoring in the F.A. Trophy. Should have some fun down there in the middle of winter and no game.

Whoops.

Penalties.

We won 5-3 on pens.

Well that was hugely lacking in quality from both sides. Actually thought Bowman was offside for the goal too.

Full credit to FCUM players at the end for applauding all areas of the ground, and to the fans who didn't stop for the whole time in the ground.

Disappointed to see Bath throw away the lead in the manner they have, hope they can win through the replay as that'd be ace. Everywhere else is fucking miles away.

We beat FCUM 1-0, with an 82nd minute winner from Ryan Bowman. Sounded like a very even game which could have gone either way.

Still, we haven't conceded in the whole tournament yet, and are only one tie away from Wembley, so one bad performance can be forgotten about. We could do with the money.

We didn't concede a single goal from open play in the whole tournament in 2013 and still didn't win it. We conceded one penalty in the 3rd round and one penalty in the final, then of course we lost on penalties! Crazy game.

Crazy game down at Crabble.

I'd be interested to see the highlights for the Payne red card for sure...looked like a very one sided decision for me. Definite question marks over the behaviour of their keeper. About a minute or two before he had a great chance to put us 2-0 up.

Second half was all Bath, until the last 5 minutes :woot:

I see Ebbsfleet lost...

Don't give a shit about it to be honest, just looking forward to beating Wrexham again. Have you thought about what your excuse is going to be this time yet? :box:

You obviously don't know Yorkshire at all and have merely bought into offensive Southern attitudes to the county and to the North in general. Your silly comment has served only to betray your own ignorance.

Given I had the misfortune to work in Birstall for 18 months I do know the area fairly well, not only is it full of flat caps, whippets and ecky thump, it always rains and it's fucking cold. Makes my little Hampshire hovel a veritable Nirvana in comparison.

Equally i am glad to Wrexham in the quarters as over two legs we are equally crap at the Racecourse

I know Birstall too, no flat caps, no whippets and close toBatley Gammar school, one of the best in the country. I can't speak about your little hampton as I've never seen it but I'm sure give you hours of endless ammusment. :woot:

Bit controversial this, but I'd love us to win the FA Trophy again. And we've got sod all else to play for this season.
The first three rounds have all gone to replays. Halifax vs Wrexham league games were both draws. Pens back at The Racecourse is almost inevitable. Ignoring Brighton, we always win penalty shoot outs. So that's basically us almost inevitably in the semi finals. North Ferriby please.

I'm expecting Evans and Morris to start, which will improve us in midfield. Kyle Storer is cup-tied I think.

Nobody sings better than the FC United boys, they can't half carry a tune. :hail:

Yep, highly impressive. Half the time teams turn up in numbers yet are quiet but they didn't stop all game. Probably the only thing the game will be remembered for as the actual match was shite!

All our new signings are available, the only time we've lost to Wrexham in 15 years was when we were a pub team and they beat us with a goal in 3rd minute of stoppage time. Were a proper team now.

Don't get me wrong winning a competition is always good on a clubs CV but right now we need to focus on the league or we'll keep getting closer to those bottom 4 positions, This cup and our FA cup run hasn't helped us at all this season really, made a bit of money but look at our league form... No team is to big to go down, table doesn't lie

A little gutted by that if I'm honest, but full credit to North Ferriby. I thought we deserved a draw but oh well, onto the league I guess.

Dunno what the crowd was but around 250-300 of us there at a guess. A good following for us.

Decent night out in Hull too. Hanging out of my arse now. Can't wait to get back and to the pub.

Cup finals or big FA Cup games aren't just lines on a CV, they are awesome memorable occasions. And when you are a team in transition I don't think you can play too many games. Games is how you get to tell the good consistent performers from the rubbish or inconsistent ones. Or find out the best position for players or who plays better with who.

We aren't too big to go down, but our squad is far too good for that to happen isn't it? Yes we are in a rotten run of form, but our main problem this season has been midfield and now Wilkin has strengthened that I think performances will improve. We'll still lose to Barnet at the weekend obviously.
