FA trophy is a first team game, and doesn't have "u23" teams in it
There have been no under 23 teams involved from the quarter finals on. Their inclusion taints the competition, but the final is exactly what it should be: a face off between two lower division clubs at Wembley.

If you had reached the latter stages your supporters would have become as engaged as those of ourselves, Oxford, Sunderland and Lincoln and if you claim otherwise you are lying.

Everybody hates and opposes the inclusion of B teams but that does not take away the joy of reaching Wembley.

Grimsby doing a good job of boycotting the entire Football League. Fair play to them, that's next level! #fucktheefl

I support Lincoln, but Tranmere have always been my second team since the glory days of Ian Muir and Johnny King, when they used to play regularly on a Friday night and Saint and Greavsie would show the highlights on Saturday lunchtime. Imps - Tranny final would be great.
Ach, not to be. Oh well tranny, make sure you beat the mackems. Have you ever won a Wembley cup final? I seem to remember you losing a League cup final there?

We lost the League Cup final to Leicester in 2000. Outside of playoff wins, the only silverware we've won at Wembley is this trophy back in the early nineties!

Nothing to lose final for us this. As long as we come through the game without any further injuries I won’t be losing any sleep over the result.
Should be a good open game!

Salford have been proud custodians of the tinpot trophy for far too long, so it's time they relinquished the title. Who to? Probably not us, but it would be nice.

Come on you tinpot Rovers! Sunderland are far too proud a club to have this thing on their honours list.

Ah well, wasn't to be, but I thought we matched Sunderland throughout and the difference was one goal on the counter. We have to take the positives from that, and push on in the league.

To those who have suggested that League 2 is poor quality this year, these two finals have suggested that's a load of bollocks. I think whoever goes up this season will hold their own in League 1.

See you played your first team and not the team that got you to the final..........Hard game on that Wembley pitch will have taken it out on both you and Salford.
Never mind always next year

Twitter's been full of praise from all sorts of clubs today, with the noteable exception of little nasty digs exclusively from Bolton fans. They really are a horrible, bitter, washed up club.

Told you before nothing against you or the other lads on here who support your club bar one
And yet you continue to aim snipes at the club as a whole? Weird.

Anyway, everyone seems very positive in the Tranmere camp after today, bring on the last 13 games of the season.
