Rather Hartlepool go up as I don't want to lose the Torquay away day....

which is always scheduled for a Tuesday night in winter.

Just can’t see Pools going up can you, they are essentially us and those things don’t happen. They’ll be Johnson’d out of contention I reckon.

Torquay will win, and they will be relegated back down here within 2 seasons.

Its all they ever do.
I think any club that finally gets out of this hell hole, and are then shit enough to end up back here should hang their heads in fucking shame...... :animatedf:

Hard not to feel sympathy for an unsettled Pools side now and wish them all the best on Sunday after WHAT WREXHAM DID

The only reason I want Pools to stay down is that Stelling at least gives the NL a bit of meat on bone while they are here.
If they go up it'll be nothing again.

Shame we are playing Torquay as both clubs have always had a good relationship, two proper clubs and one of us has to lose out. I'd rather we were playing a tinpotter or a moneybags Brother as it wouldn't make any difference if they lost.

Totally agree, Soup. I've only ever been to Victoria Park once (when we drew 1-1 back in 2018 and we plummeted down to NLS) but the home fans on the day were excellent. Maybe they were all just feeling sorry for us poor souls who had made the (very) long trip knowing that it really was a meaningless game, but our last game in NL (for a season) nonetheless. Hopefully, season after next, we'll be playing this match for the L2 play-offs*

However, unfortunately, one of us is going to be lumbered with this fucking lot for at least another season if we don't succeed on Sunday.

Whatever the outcome, I'd like to wish all Pools fans a safe journey down to the Westcountry on Sunday and, if we win, good luck next season down here... if we lose, good luck in L2**.

COYY!

I Can just envisage it now, Hartlepool team bus on the way to Bristol, Challinor gets up and asks the driver to stop at the next services as he’s just had an offer from Wrexham that he can’t refuse.

Nobody knows who our next manager will be as it is being dealt with in a professional way with no leaks.
But I would assume that DC has already been interviewed and he is shortlisted or it's all a load of rubbish.

Being odds on in lower league betting means absolutely nothing, just means 2 or 3 people have stuck a few quid on it.
When Hurst left us before we had Nigel Adkins and then Danny Cowley both odds on at 1/3 and 2/5 and it ended up as Marcus Bignot.

No leeks, so that counts out a Welsh manager

It was common knowledge that Buckle was leaving us for the Gas on the eve of our league 2 play-off final in 2011. We were atrocious in that game, we'll never know how much the manager situation affected the players but it certainly can't have helped.

They're all it, Chalinoire to Wrexham, what they did, not done your time etc, we're essentially just Wrexham, johnsoned out of it etc etc.

Well sticks and stones lads.

Worth a try ;) .

Looks like it's going to rain so we've lost the advantage of coming from a place where the blazing hot weather of last week is the norm.

Honestly Torquay you have to win this cause the thought of Raj Singh having any success in football is actually unbearable.

I feel like we hear stuff about the ground every 6 months or so and then it comes down to who's going to pay for it and everyone skulks off.

Knowing Raj he won't put in anything except loans (his model all along) which he might get back if the club/project is successful. If no ones prepared to finance it he'll just apply to liquidate us .

It's all clear now. I reckon this is why he rejected the Hollywood bid. He's had this up his sleeve all along, just help the Tories get elected, which he has, now time to call in a favour.

What gets me is the ACV will go to him. The ground is at the end of its life? Is it fuck. Just needs sprucing up a bit in certain parts. It'll be a flat pack dump they'd rather build.

Think Torquay will do it, not sure why. Would prefer Hartlepool though, Torquay is a mint away day

Hoping Torquay go up because they finished 2nd so deserve to and also gets rid of a southern team and keeps a decent supported team and we need as many big gates next season as we can get. Might take our budget above Batley under 7s if that happens aswell.

Stockport County.
I'm backing Hartlepool tomorrow, I think Challinor's done a really good job there. Nothing against Torquay though.
