Yeah I agree, it’s only Barrow who can realistically be overhauled, barring a miracle.

We are still in trouble.

Nah despite winning 2 of our last 3 there is no way we are winning all 3 against Exeter Port Vale and Cambridge.
Should we manage to take it to the final day at Cambridge which I’ll be amazed if it happens, then we need to hope that Cambridge are already promoted but cannot still win the title so they have nothing to play for, because if Cambridge have anything riding on it whatsoever then we will be screwed.

Contrary to a few panicked posts I've seen on twitter etc, we are definitely, absolutely already safe in my eyes - I almost forgot we were even playing today. And if by some extraordinary turn of events we're not, then fair play to Grimsby for finishing the season with four wins on the bounce.

Swann likely to stick with your manager? He's not got a great track record in that respect but given that, you'd imagine he'd be on his way?

I'm one of Swann's very few supporters but if he sacks Cox then i'm done with him.

If Cox keeps us up it's an achievement considering the injuries we have had and just the overall lack of quality he was provided. Cox didn't sign that many of the squad, the ones he did sign (Taft, Karacan) have been the good ones.

Our budget next year is set to be slashed even further and our key players have rejected contract extensions, no manager of any sort of quality would want to come here.

You will be fine next week at our place, we are as bad as you at the moment and most of our players know they won't be here next season, so they have simply given up this season

Do we really need fans of teams with 1-2% chance of relegation crying in here again?

If Grimsby stayed up at our expense on the last day I think I would just give up on football

I think you will just have to keep supporting Scunny mate, because I don't think we'll help you give up football this season.

On a brighter side (for you), we did get relegated by 0.006 of a goal in the old aggregate scoring system, and you stayed up. Forget the year, but I was not a happy chap!

It is unlikely but I am going to keep sweating until it's mathetically impossible.

Just the other year we needed 10 points out of a possible 40 to stay up, we looked miles clear. We went on to pick up 5 and were relegated.

I would, i’ll admit the grimsby fans are putting on a brave face, they know how shit it is down there.

As I've said countless times, give me the Conference playoffs over a L2 dogfight anytime. I genuinely won't be that arsed about going down.

Strange innit, Grimsby and Southend still think they've only got a slim chance of making up the gap however myself and many other Barrow fans are convinced it is going to happen!

I would be the same if it was the other way round to be honest.
The year Jolley came in and saved us I was certain for a couple of Months that we were going down yet we were never actually in the bottom 2 but we were so awful for Months that I couldn’t see us winning another game all season.
We had gone 20 games without a win (6 draws 14 defeats) and Chesterfield had closed the gap to 4 points and with 3 games on us in hand when we played them and we were there for the taking being on such an awful run but bizarrely they came here and played for a draw, and we ended up nicking it with an 88th minute penalty and then we somehow ended up picking up 13 points from our last 5 games to stay up after going 20 without a win previous to it.
Guess that’s why we all love football.

Our forum in 14/15 was full of people convinced we were going to be relegated yet we didn’t get closer than five points to the bottom two after Christmas. People lose all sense of logic when their team is even remotely close to the drop.

Only the 19 points clear now thankfully but you do get convinced of the worst.

Saying that my lads team name on FIFA 21 is Holloway’s Army and he’s been stuck with it since the twat walked out on us the poor sod.
