Blackpool, Wigan and Rotherham to come down would be good for a decent day out point of view. Brighton for a new ground wouldn't be bad either mind.

Poor results for both Blackpool and Wigan then.

Wigan, seriously. I can't see them getting out of this now, although with the greatest of respect, they're only heading back to their natural level.

Most seasons there seems to be a unexpected team that goes down, Forest, Leeds, Southampton, Charlton, Sheff Wed/Utd, Leicester, Norwich, Wolves etc, this year looks like Wigan. Wont miss them at all, tinpot club.

Millwall v Reading on Tuesday. Maybe classed as a six pointer. Hopefully use the momentum from this FA Cup win into the game. If we win, create a 10 point gap which should be enough. I just can't see any of the bottom 4 turning their fortunes around quickly. Last season required 45 points to stay up, don't think it'll be any more this year.

Good to see Blackpool and Wigan losing today. Need to try and get those two well adrift.

Hope Millwall, Charlton and the Lids go down - need to get rid of the tinpotters ahead of our return.

Wigan are terrible. Mackay has done ridiculously bad. Their team isn't even that bad.

Pretty sure we have enough quality to avoid this thread. Next two games are Leeds and Millwall so I'm expecting 4 points there.

Play like we like have done in the last 2 games and we should win.Win on Tuesday and i cant see us having too many worries about staying up.The teams down the bottom will need to go a winning run and the way they are playing at the moment i cant see it.I think we will stay up comfortably.

Definitely, I thought they might pick up since Mackay took over, but it doesn't seem any better. Can't believe I tipped them to win the league this season. :dk:

Is this all over already?

Blackpool 12 points adrift.
Wigan 8 points adrift.
Millwall 5 points adrift.

I honestly can't see any of them turning things round.

If Millwall change manager i'll be nervous. Think the other two are down already.

Wigan just appear to be selling everyone. I really don't understand what's happening at that club.

I hope it's all over. I did think Wigan would turn it around but their January dealings don't suggest that. Blackpool are surely gone. Fingers crossed it's looking like we're going to be lucky that there are three worse teams than us.

A win over Huddersfield on Saturday and I'll feel so much happier though...we're still in danger.

Wouldn't count any chickens. Yes we have been utterly dire all season but we do finally seem to be moving in the right direction. We must find a striker to partner Gregory, but the rest of the team is beginning to look fairly competitive.

After tonight i wouldn't rule you out of staying up.The team certainly put a lot of effort in and looked fairly solid.Until we get a striker we are still in this.

Yeah the new back 4 had only played a total of 7 matches for us between them before tonight, so to look that solid that quickly is promising. Cummings is also still getting fit. Think with Bailey or another midfielder coming in with a bit of quality and a striker who Gregory can play off of we can make a fist of it. Getting rid of the 9 or so gutless wankers we have managed or are continuing to ship out this window will help massively.

Happy with those results yesterday in our quest to avoid getting sucked in to this.

Ideally, Rotherham and Bolton would have drew but with Rotherham winning it keeps Bolton involved and has cut the bottom three adrift.

Big chance for us to finally get 3 points on Saturday, that could leave us 11 points clear which I think would leave us another 3 or 4 wins from guaranteed safety. Will be able to rest a bit easier then because at the moment, I just have no faith in this side.

You won't be returning fella, says a lot about your team when they make better groundsmen than they do footballers.

I will run around Doncaster naked if we don't go up. It's guaranteed.

Stick us in this right now, we won't be leaving this thread until our relegation is confirmed.

From now on, I'll just be supporting the opposition of the teams below us as the only way will stay up is if they don't pick up any more points, we sure as hell won't.

Big win for us today, should be enough to take us away (we're only goal difference off the top half of the table now). Still only 7 points clear, but we're starting to put a few clubs between us and the drop again.

If Forest hadn't beaten us, they'd be 19th right now, rather than 12th. Hadn't realised the bottom half was as close as it is at the top!
