In a way I think its nice and apt for our first opponents back at BP to be York because a lot of their fans will have seen the same horrible sites over the last month with both areas hit badly.

but its a welcome return, no 10am starts for home matches, can leave at 2.30 this weekend which is a welcome return for me anyway.

dangerous dangerous game, we have to as a team make sure the off-field doesn't hurt the on-field here, but a game we must win if we want any chance of top 7.

Clearly we need a win, but what's new? It would be a shame to spoil the party but it nonetheless has to be done.

We haven't kept a clean sheet in God knows how long but we can score...although Carlisle have some proper goalscorers, so 3-1 to the Cumbrians.

I'm really looking forward to this game, can't wait to be back at Brunton Park.

It's a game we have to be winning, and I think we will. York were far from impressive earlier this season, and have gradually got worse sitting bottom of the table currently. I wouldn't like to see them get relegated, but I don't think they've got enough quality in their squad at present.

For us, I've got a feeling this'll be a game for Gilliead to shine; he's been somewhat ineffective for the past month but could have an impact against a struggling defence. I think this could be a game for Jabo and Asamoah up top.

Attendance should be 6000+ since it's our return to BP and the incentives for the Everton game.

An optimistic 4-1 home win.

Attendance could be anything from 6000 upwards really, I think a lot of people will come down because out of good feeling about the players helping clear up after the floods so it could be quite big.

We need to beat these twats once and for all!

Last season they hammered us at home thanks to that farce with the players being hungover, then we drew 0-0 with them away but York were good at that point so not so bad a result, but this season when we drew there 2-2 after taking a 2-0 lead York get a man sent off and that spurs the plucky c*nts on and they get a draw out of it when we should of stayed switched on and thrashed the f*ck out of them!!

I don't care how we play but 3 points is an absolute must, no excuses!

I take it you do not like York really then.

If I were honest we deserved nothing from that York game, it did p*ss me off more than any game this season as we completely flogged 3 easy points due simply to 'not giving a sh*t' and I still would not be surprised at end of season to miss out on top 7 by 2-3 points and look back to our shameful attitude in the York/Newport game costing us dearly (You can still try in the league games around the cup one and play well in cup)

but we were very undeservedly 2 up and deserved nothing in the game, was a sign York would struggle that we turned up half hearted, got outplayed yet still went 2-0 up.....they had and still very much have problems.

not sure what team I want for this one.

And obviously three points for us and Daggers will also be a must from our perspective - it's hardly as though either side can afford to go into any games with the mindset that a draw will do and a loss wouldn't be a disaster.

We'll have no option but to go for it, but I just don't think we're good enough to get a result here and I expect we'll lose 3-1.

if it is a positive for you its that you play us at the right time. If you can stop our corners/free kicks we simply won't score a goal...............I see it was a set piece yet again at Yeovil.

I am not sure if sides have found us out or its due to us changing our tactics in the last month but we simply can not score from open play anymore, nor look like we can.

stop the set plays and you at least have a clean sheet then its up to you.

We have looked different in the last month. It could just be tiredness, we've been travelling long distances not just to play but also to train. Could be that, or out could also be a case of Curle switching to classic away team tactics since every game has been 'away'.

It's a bit different when you're down the bottom though, you're just trying to pick up points regardless of who you play, with the exception of six pointers, and you're not so far adrift where a draw wouldn't be a welcome result.

When you're chasing play-offs or promotion, a draw is much less useful, especially when it's against a team who may of your rivals are beating. So I'd say the onus is very much on us to win this.

We have a solid record against Carlisle, but I can't see that continuing here. A loss and dire performance may see the first signs of the fans voicing their disapproval at the new manager already.

Another (understandably) low away turnout is likely in keeping with the general trend this season (probably sub 400).

He's getting the winner with a bicycle kick goal which quickly turns into a stone cold stunner on a York fan in the 96th minute

Nothing better than facing the league's poorest side on your return to BP :animatedf:

I want to see a few changes to the lineup and tactics. We're becoming too predictable and shit.

The team I'd pick

Gillespie
Atkinson Raynes Ellis
Miller Dicker Kennedy Grainger
Hery
Gilliead Ibehre

I do want to see Miller back in to be honest. The drop back to 4-4-2 has been keeping him out but I would like to see us rampaging down both wings.

I want to see us playing through midfield a bit more. That's why I'd like Hery and Kennedy in there.

The idea of my team is to allow Gilliead to drift wide at times if need be and Hery can push forward. A bit of flexibility. We've been too rigid recently and relying too much on getting the ball out to Grainger in the hope he puts a good delivery in. We need to mix up the ideas. Plus Miller as a wing back is not only a good defender but he's actually a threat going forward from that position, see Hartleppol and York this season.

I quite like the look of the team today, though a bit disappointed Gilliead isn't starting.

Apparently 7100 sold as of 12pm, could hit 9000-10000.

I wasn't far off with my lineup to be honest, assuming it's that formation l. Pleased with it and fairly confident

It's a good job we have this points tally because I think we're shite again and if rge season started now we'd be serious relegation candidates.

That second half was a disgrace. We'll get humiliated by Everton on that showing

Appalling performance. Absolutely shite. It's getting worse every game, outplayed by bottom of the table for periods of the game. I'm starting to think the playoffs are out of reach this season, yet we're still only 3 points off 7th - massive improvements needed if we want a late surge.

York probably deserved that point, but they were such a poor team. Decent in possession but lacking an end product. Hope should have finished the game before their equaliser, one-on-one with the keeper.

That today just reminded me of us last season. Complete and utter dog shit, players low on confidence, making wrong decisions, failing to take simple chances, shittng themselves, getting deeper and deeper as the game went on, giving the ball away cheaply.

Assuming we don't beat Everton next week, by the time our game comes round it will be 7 weeks since we last won a game. That is plenty of time to forget what it's like to win and to develop a losers mentality like last season.

Good tackle I think wasn't it? But yeah still should have took the shot earlier.

The worst miss for me was Ibehre's header.

Ahh good old Carlisle Utd.

Lets be honest, this flood has ruined our season, failure to beat the worst team in the league is a real disapointment. So now that our play off hopes are quickly turning into midtable gloomness we should just concentrate on winning the fa cup.

A bit much, I don't think there was ever a point where they outplayed us. We were guilty of not taking our chances. Had Jabo and Hope scored from chances they really should have scored from then 3-0 up things are looking very different.

Maybe not outplayed, but they were comfortable in possession for vast periods of the game, though they didn't create many chances.
Similar to the Yeovil home tie, we had the better chances and probably should've scored a couple more, but the performance itself was disappointing.
