Very pleased to get 3 points today against a decent Leamington side who worked hard and played good football.l throughout the game.
The Magpies were slightly depleted through a number of injuries today meaning a debut start for young Fylde loanee Danny Ormerod who soon showed his worth with a well taken strike from inside the area to put the Magpies 1 up, Leamington hit back to equalize soon after and it was quite end to end until Ormerod cut in from the left, made space and fired an unstoppable drive across the keeper into the far corner in added time at the end of the first half.
The second period saw the Magpies largely in control but unable to add to their tally. The Final whistle was received with much joy from the Magpie fans.

Still a least someone made £100,000 on him.
This happened in a National League Cup game the other night. The game eventually went to penalties - Nuttall was not asked to take one.

Joe Nuttall and Jake Bickerstaff sat on the bench for the whole game today, despite us being 2-0 down in an FA Trophy quarter-final. I don't for a minute think they'd have made much difference (Nuttall has 3 goals all season, Bickerstaffe has 1), but it was quite telling they didn't get on.
